If there’s one conclusion that I can come up with for the NB200 it’s this — this netbook is the one to buy if you like a small, cheap computer without looking like you bought a small cheap computer. Performance is not too shabby either, especially the keyboard. While battery issues can be solved by buying the extended battery, I’d have preferred it if Toshiba had just put in a better set of speakers into the netbook as I often use mine for watching movies while... As to the performance values, the NB 200-113 correlates to the NB 100 or those of many other manufacturers, which is hardly surprising because the implemented hardware, except for a few items, is almost the same in all devices. Stuff fails to differentiate its review between the various versions of the NB200 - I have just bought a the 13L version which has the faster processer (1.66ghz referred to by ajay414 and michaelprice). It seems very quick. Wondering whether to upgrade the RAM and whether to instal Windows 7 since it seems a waste to have it on my main laptop and not the netbook too. Read more
Bought it early Jan 2010. Works well, no problems apart from the jumping cursor. I've followed other reviewers' advice and disabled tapping. See if that works... The battery life is good. I had to spend 8 hours waiting for a Ryanair flight, in a small airport with no amenities. The Toshiba kept me company. I like the looks. My wife finds the computer a bit old-fashioned - because the frame around the screen is thick. But I really like it. Top marks. Read more
