Summary: I bought the NB100 for simple everyday tasks. The delivery was quick and it came as described by the seller. Throughout my usage I have noticed a few annoying problems including the short battery life and slowing down when working with complicated 3D programs. I would recommend this for anyone who wants a simple net-book.
Summary: I have now had this machine for four years. The keyboard is small as some say, but not impossible. It is more compact than most net books but makes up for it in build quality. I travel around the world teaching, so it gets a bumpy ride - no problem, this seems better built than most netbooks and has been very reliable. After 4 years it still looks good and works well. But... I am one of those geeks out there who only uses Linux- so no problems software wise!
Summary: I ordered this and it arrived within 2 days and came in a lovely little carry case with all the leads needed. It was plugged in and I was on the internet in less than 10 minutes, My 11 year old came home and did her homework on it. I bought it because our pc died and I needed something not too expensive in a hurry. I couldnt be more impressed, Yes its small, its a noteook. I plugged a mouse into it and Im tapping away happily.
Summary: good things- intel atom proccessor 1.6 ghz upgradeable to windows 7 ultimate 32bit (can also handle windows areo theme) 1 GB ram (i upgraded to 2gb and now its lightning fast) 120 GB bad things- cant handle 720p/1080p videos Slow only 2.8 windows index for 3d processing but everything accept that is higher than usual Keyboard is uncomfortable to type with (thats why you are going to hate it) goes slow after 2 weeks too little slow connectivity/web browsing
Summary: Just bought this laptop and wanted to register it for the warranty. It turns out that this is a refurbished or second-hand model and so no useful warranty can be applied. I cannot see any obvious indication of this on the website that this is a refurbished or second-hand model. If something goes wrong, I have wasted money on this. First time I have ever felt ripped off when using Amazon. The well known phrase springs to mind- "They saw me coming!
Summary: I have had this for a year or two now and think it is a faultless machine apart from the grey keyboard letters. I changed these with stick on keyboard letters from Ebay but these have now worn out. Just bought a WHITE keyboard with black letters from Ebay about £20 and easy to fit (search internet for instructions). This has a US layout - only a few minor changes needed with a marker pen to match your own keyboard.
Summary: A very compact easily portable netbook with ample battery life in powersave mode. Runs all my regular software quickly and without problems. WiFi connection to the internet is usually trouble free. But that keyboard! Whoever thought that grey characters (and a few blue ones) on black keys for a portable machine was a good idea needs to get out of their brightly lit office and try to use the NB100 in subdued lighting.
Summary: I think that for this to happen after 15 months on a Toshiba product is a really bad and am very disappointed with my purchase. It wasn't used every day and I have taken great care of it by keeping it in a padded netbook case, it has never been dropped or mis-treated and looks as good as new but just doesn't work. I will never buy a Toshiba netbook or laptop again as I wouldn't be able to trust that it would work beyond the guarantee period.
Pros: When I bought this product in August 2010 I thought it was a great little netbook, despite it being small, it was ideal for home and away use.
Cons: However 15 months down the line and just 3 months after the 1 year guarantee had expired, it completely stopped working, we tried everything we could think of to get it to work, we could hear the fan running when it was switched on but the screen remained blank and the only things to light up were the on light and the battery light. After calling Toshiba my husband was told it could be the mother board and there was nothing that could be done to make it work. My husba...
Great machine for people on the run or that have a daily commute.

Excerpt: I bought this Toshiba NB100 in December 2009 and it has served me extremely well. When I decided I was going to purchase a Netbook I took a look at the other machines on the market at that time and I felt that this was the most robust of the lot. The machine has run very well with an Windows XP 32bit Operating System and 1GB of ram, the laptop was mainly bought to browse the web but I soon purchased the Serif Webplus x4 application to install on it.
