Excerpt: I bought the Toshiba mini laptop in place of my fullsize HP laptop that was several years old. I loved that the battery was supposed to last 9 hours and that it was only about 2-3 lbs. However, I immediately noticed that the speakers being on the bottom do not broadcast loud enough to hear anything. This is extremely frustrating if you don't have any head phones handy and you want to hear something.
Excerpt: I have owned my Toshiba NETBOOK TOSHIBA | NB205-N210 RT for about eight months. I bought it as a second computer with intentions of multi tasking while watching tv. My other PC is a dell desktop. After logging several hundred hours on the Toshiba, I think I can write a fair assessmnet of its pros and cons. The battery life is great. i can go about 7-9 hours without needing a charge. My Toshiba netbook is very lightweight and stores easily in a cabnet in the...
Summary: Bought two of these and unfortunately in the span of one week, both turned out to be lemons. The screen started flashing pages at exorcist speeds (even snapped pics on my iphone to show returns dept). Tech at store could not guess at what the issue was and for the price, I wouldn't want Toshiba via phone to help me fix it. I was guessing that the software install was faulty. Just a guess.
Pros: Best Keyboard, Comfortable Keyboard, Compact, Good Battery Life, Lightweight
Summary: We were thrilled with the new netbook, until we started using Word. Then one of the keys on the brand new machine stuck down and made it impossible. Both Toshiba and JR were fine, but we are returning for replacement a brand new machine. What ever happened to quality control?
Summary: The stripped down black NB-205 is a cool little computer. Almost everyone who has seen it are surprised to hear how much I paid and where they can buy one. With 2 GB RAM it is pretty fast, the battery lasts forever with the proper settings applied and as a bonus the internal web cam/microphone setup works really well for video Skype etc. What I don't like is the quirky-buggy little mouse pad that came with this netbook.
Pros: Compact, Good Battery Life, Lightweight
Cons: Cheap keyboard, Freezes Up, Quirky mouse pad
Excerpt: The sound is so horrible that you best believe that you are going to want to add some speakers to it like I did. Basically the Toshiba mini NB205-N210 Netbook is a ok gadget, it isn’t worth the price, I can tell you that much. I have spent less than $200 on a netbook so to pay $300 and over, I might as well buy a laptop. I wouldn’t recommend this one to anyone, I would advise you to upgrade your brand.
