Review Sony Vaio VPC-Z13B7E subnotebook

Notebookcheck
17 February 2011
  • Summary: Vaio-Z@Low-Budget. At 1400 Euros, speaking of low cost sounds like heresy. But for a Vaio in the Z series this is an affordable price. How big the difference is to the 3300 Euro deluxe version, is shown by our test.
  • Pros: Good performance, Stable base unit without DVD drive, 3D performance at will, Very bright display, sRGB color space & good contrast, Wide horizontal viewing angles, (Almost) matte display, Light case, Keys with good feedback, ExpressCard slot & FireWire, Efficient power consumption (idle), Good battery life, Low heat emission, First class colors and brightness, that shows where the yardstick should be set. The light case is pretty and also stable.
  • Cons: Loud under a high load, 7200 rpm HDD consistently audible, No automatic GPU disabling, High pitched speakers, Only two USB 2.0 ports, Somehow we liked the quiet SSD better than the humming HDD.

Review Sony Vaio VPC-Z13Z9E (i7, FHD, Quad-SSD) subnotebook

Notebookcheck
8 February 2011
  • Summary: Flash-giant meets color-collosus. The Z13 has four SSD-memories on board, together with 256 GB of capacity. In the Raid 0, these ensure for flow-rates which would have rotating harddrives flying the white flag of surrender. Furthermore, the impressive color space of the built-in display almost brings tears to our eyes.
  • Pros: High working-speed, Extremely fast "harddrive", No harddrive noise, 3D-performance at the push of a button, 3G-module integrated, Blu ray drive, Very bright display, sRGB+AdobeRGB color space, Strong contrasts, Wide horizontal viewing angle, (Almost) matte display, Light case, Straight-forward input devices, Keyboard illumination, Low current consumption (idle), Good battery life, Little heat development, Quickly regulating fan, A TFT with workstation-quality and reso...
  • Cons: Very loud under load, No Nvidia Optimus, Unstable case at certain spots, High-pitched loudspeakers, With Nvidia, the annoying black display and waiting time when switching GPU could have been avoided.

Обзор субноутбука Sony Vaio VPC-Z13Z9E (i7, FHD, Quad-SSD)

Notebookcheck.ru
19 April 2011
