Summary: Well I've had this laptop now for 2 years, and although it has very good specs, and is still far better than lots of laptops on the market in terms of what it gives you. 1GB of dedicated graphics, i7 processor. The actual build quality is terrible. Firstly I started playing Diablo 3 on it, a couple of months after I bought it, and the computer would lock up and get me killed constantly. I spent a while looking for what was wrong.
Summary: This is the 3rd vaio I have purchased. It will also be the last. After refusing to accept the preinstalled OS (ms' Edsil pos) I found Sony did not include the correct drivers for XP. So after much time searching the internet, I found the info on how to add the drivers with an existing XP disk to make a workable copy of the preferred OS. Enter vaio #3... I purchased in Dec 2011.
Summary: I have owned this laptop for just over two months and am pretty annoyed by the poor build quality. The stats on the laptop are quite impressive, however, the power receiver on the laptop itself has a small plastic piece that broke off on the inside, so now i have to wiggle the cord to charge my laptop. The edges of the speaker grills are popping up as well. I feel like sony has really done poorly with the design of the laptop.
