Summary: I purchased one of these over 3 years ago, at the time it was relatively high spec and it is used almost every day. I have had to replace the HDD as that failed, so now have a 600 Gig one installed and also needed a new power supply and the power socket broke, but this is relatively cheap and easy to repair yourself if you have a little no how and no soldering is needed.
Summary: Everything works perfectly (no problem with wireless, as I've heard some complain), pretty and efficient. Has Vista, which takes a little getting used to, but that's fine. My IT guy at work thinks I made a good buy.
Summary: Sony VAIO NS10L/S PDC 15.4-inch Laptop (Intel Dual-Core T 3200 2.0GHz, 3GB RAM, 250GB HDD) A good choice for the decerning amateur.Does all it says on the tin.Vista tries to be too clever and can be irritating pre-empting sometimes wrongly what you want to do.
Summary: I recently bought this laptop and for the price, it performs better than what you would expect. Everything runs smooth and it looks the part. For the price, you can't go wrong. The only flaw I have found is with the built in webcam. Maybe it's me who has this wrong, but I assumed built in webcams would have their drivers already loaded onto the computer? This isn't the case here, and I've yet to find the appropriate drivers to get it up and running.
Summary: I know this is a strange question, but when you lot recieved your vaio laptop from amazon did the underneath of the packaging have selotape across it? im talking about the actual sony laptop box not the amazon box. I just wondered if it was just mine or if everyones came like that.
Nice Laptop for people with big fingers, No Software discs at all.

Summary: I purchased this laptop in Dec 08 @ £421, very fast and the screen is super clear. Family over the end of ocean commented the high resolution of the built-in camera. Sound is excellent too. However, I am not used to the big keys on the keyboard. My parents love the big keys as their fingers are a bit more 'clumsy'. There is no microsoft office except a 60-day trial pack, same with McAfee. There is no recover disc so you have to create your own.
Summary: It has the same Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M that the L/S Model has. Its capable of playing older games or some newish games on low settings. To be honest In my opinion its only marginally better than the L/S. If you look at the benchmarks on the CPU this clocks 1,060 I think and the L/S is 1,049.
