Sony Vaio Y Series Review

Digitaltrends
10 August 2010
  • Excerpt: As Sony reaffirmed most recently by selling a $1,400 netbook , the company that built a reputation on luxury and performance doesn’t do “cheap.” That hasn’t them though, from offering a number of surprisingly affordable notebooks further up the performance ladder. We saw Sony concede to practicality once with the well-equipped $800 CW Series , and now the Japanese titan appears to be bowing to budget restraints yet again with the similarly priced Vaio Y series.
  • Pros: Fashionable, high-end look, Reasonable desktop performance, Sharp, vibrant LCD screen, Comfortable keyboard, Large, multi-touch trackpad, FireWire and ExpressCard/34 ports
  • Cons: Shorter battery life than competitors, Feels cheap around display bezel, lid, Pitifully weak speakers, Loaded with bloatware, No optical drive, No discrete graphics option available, HD video drags, little gaming prowess, Sluggish boot times

Kleines Notebook mit HDMI-Ausgang: Sony Vaio Y im Test

CNET
25 March 2010
  • Pros: Media-Plus-Software überträgt Multimedia-Daten an DLNA-Geräte, hervorragende Tastatur, fairer Preis
  • Cons: mäßige Leistung, kurze Akkulaufzeit
