Let’s just throw it out there: With performance right on par with netbooks that cost a quarter of what it does, the Vaio X is an atrocious value. But that truly doesn’t do this magnificent machine justice. You will get a stupid grin on your face the first time you handle it. The Sony Vaio X is as much a step forward for technology as it is a step forward in geek-chic, frou-frou computing. I have had this very pricey laptop since Christmas, 2010. It has been in the repair shop (Sony's) for a week now. It wouldn't boot up at all and the call center told me to take it to the Sony store. Pretty lousy performance for the price. Read more
