Cheap parts

Carlos B. Montoya, Amazon
24 August 2012
  • Summary: I had this laptop for just over a year. Didn't buy extended warranty. I used it approximately less than 3 months total. When the year was over, the video graphics card and the LCD screen both died. Sony support calculated minimum $600 to fix/replace parts with new + to/from shipping cost. I would not buy a Sony laptop again nor recommend them.

The design is awful

veraptor, Amazon
28 February 2012
  • Summary: The laptop has awesome hardware characteristics, the screen is really good and has a high resolution. However, the overall design of the laptop is ugly. The keyboard is backlit, but the slits between the keys and the base are too big, so the white LEDs are shining right in your eyes. The plastic gets all stained with fingerprints from a single touch.

AWESOME!

Zeph, Amazon
25 February 2012
  • Summary: This laptop is fast, plays full hd videos, blu ray, has an amazing keyboard layout, has a great screen, the sound is loud, and it plays most games on med-high settings. Compared to other similar gaming machines, this one is a better deal! You get it all. The only downsides are the battery and weight. It dies pretty fast, usually lasts me a good 2-4 hours with heavy browsing and viewing videos. Of course it lasts longer just doing basic things.

Fantastic Laptop

R. N. Kinnison "Lady Arenkay", Amazon
26 August 2011
  • Summary: (Read the whole thing to see how my feelings changed) I bought this laptop a few weeks ago, and it has been amazing. First of all, everything about it is beautiful. Just completely gorgeous. It is bold, but yet sleek and elegant and really attracts attention. It really is the most gorgeous laptop I've ever seen.

Fantastic!

Gerry, Amazon
3 June 2013
  • Summary: This is a fantastic machine that excels in both media and gaming. This laptop has been fantastic to me and I have not had a single issue with it since it was delivered. The price of the model at first seemed a little high however when it arrived I found that the sheer good looks alone made the laptop worth it.

Best i7 deal on the web

Martin Britton, Amazon
14 March 2013
  • Summary: Really good laptop for the money. Corel WidDVD BD has a known problem on Sony Vaio so it best to uninstall it, pay £50 and load PowerDVD to enable trouble free DVD and Blue Ray playback.

Sony Vaio F series

open.ecommerce.org, Amazon
13 November 2011
  • Summary: I boght my vaio about 4 weeks ago and i am very happy so far. I was a bit worry to by this model because the only review wasent very good and try to send buyers to samsung but after I relize that it was a profesional reviewer and maby some intrest about it. The screen it is a bit reflective but the resolution it is amazing with full hd. The battery last about 3 hours because of the i7 and the 16.4 screen.

Good as desktop, but not so good as a laptop!

miren, Amazon
7 November 2011
  • Summary: The positive: Good full HD screen. Powerful processer and 6GB of memory. The bad: 1-giant power supply. About 2 inches thick. 2-Very very very bad touchpad. First thing to do is switch off the gestures. You end up with a touchpad that is erratic and you have to lick your finger or rub quickly left to right to make the mouse cursor move again. My wife is at least not tempted to borrow my laptop and boots up her slower but better Acer G8930 computer.
