Summary: I bought this Sony because when my other laptops crashed I still had my old Sony XP to go to, apart from being old it had never let me down so I searched and found this Sony....It arrived in great condition, and I am hoping it will be as good as the XP which I still have to fall back on.
Summary: This laptop has a nice size screen and has some nice features. When you first use it there is this dock at the top of the screen and it is very annoying (you can hide it). Pros: 15.5" screen (great for watching movies or TV) Design (has a very sleek look) Ports (VGA for dual screen, HDMI to connect to HDTV, many usb ports, SD slot) Wireless on and off button Full Qwerty keyboard with numbers 1 button assistance with Vaio Care (I have not tried it but it is fast and easy...
Summary: bought it at wal-mart a few years back before christmas for under 500.00. flawless operation. I decided to upgrade the ram to 8GB as it was on sale for under 50.00 at WorstBuy. Like a new machine! Only looking here to see if this exact unit is still availble, considering having another one, cheaper than a tablet with a real keyboard with number pad, just the right combo of size, performance and battery life for me.
Summary: I just got this laptop for $448 at Walmart and I love it. It looks a lot more expensive than it is, has more than enough power for everyday use and is loaded with features - wireless Wi-Fi, webcam, 4 USB ports, HDMI, Sony assist feature for troubleshooting and maintaining the laptop and more. Coming from a 12 inch screen, the 15.6 inch screen is like looking at a flat screen TV. The speaker volume is nice and loud.
Summary: I purchased an Hp almost 2yrs ago. The motherboard went out on me twice, all though I was happy with my turion 64 dual core, I needed something more stable and I was done with HP at that point. After doing some research, I read that Athlons are actually best in desktop computers because they use more power but are faster than turions. When I compared the specs they seemed pretty equivalent to my old HP laptop which ran great with Windows 7.
