Summary: I recently purchased a vaio e-series directly from Sony. Upon arrival, I was pleased to see a beautiful peice of kit, slim and easy to set up. However, within a few days, the touchpad was driving me crazy, windows 8 was slowing the machine down a lot, the body flexed like a trampoline when I typed and then the graphics driver stopped working and would not let me update it. The machine is now on its way back to Sony. Could be worse, but certainly not worth the price tag.

The combination of rubbish touchpad and windows 8 means menus appear when you didn't ask them to, it flits between the desktop and windows 8 start up menu without you asking it to. Another annoying feature is that because the touchpad is all in one (i.e.
Summary: The touch pad is crap, as you have to touch it a few times before it registers you have done so. Give it a tap to go on to a site, nothing. Give it another tap, still nothing. I know what you are all thinking, slow internet, no. The bloody thing needs a few taps before it will do anything, took me 4 goes to get to answer this review.

Summary: As a previous reviewer commented this laptop is really impaired with Windows 8 installed. You really seem to lose control over it especially with McAffee installed too. Numerous reboots and re-installations didn't help either. So we installed Windows 7 instead and the difference was remarkable. It is now a flying machine. After spending five hundred quid on this laptop the last thing we expected was to spend further money on a new OS to get it to work properly.
