Sony Vaio - Black screen issues.
Leslie Blackmore, Amazon
3 March 2014
Summary: Had two in 3 months both screens went black and laptop would not work, would never purchase a Sony Vaio ever again after these issues, can except one being faulty but two of the same model is unacceptable and spent time without internet use whilst waiting for a replacements....
Summary: My biggest mistake was buying it from Top Electrics through Amazon. Why Amazon deals with this mickey mouse company I don't know. From the start it gave problems, but I thought it was me getting used to Windows 8. I and others battled to download programs..
Summary: I have worked in IT for 25 years and in that time built countless PCs from components (for home use) and installed OS's on countless desk and laptops - Windows server and desktop variants and Linux and UNIX.
Summary: Very Bad as the palm rest started getting black spots on it immediately after i started using it, and windows 8 crashed, within the first week. The calender app would not open and neither would the photo app or half the other ones. I wouldn't recommed it.
Summary: Shame on Microsoft for launching a product which is blatantly incompatible with with this (Sony laptop.) Or, how stupid are Sony for preloading this laptop with software that simply doesn't work!
Summary: Very plasticky case, cheap looking and horrendous touchpad. Touchpad makes a noise every time you touch it and it will drive you mad! so disappointed as have had a good, solid Vaio for the last 6 years. Sony seriously need to reconsider this machine.
Summary: Let's get this straight- this is a great laptop from Sony...the keyboard's more good-looking and ergonomic, the screen is brighter, the battery life is way better and the processor is faster than my wheezy old 6 year old Vaio. So far, so good, then...so why the bad rating?
