May be OS, perhaps VAIO, either way this experience has turned me off of VAIO forever.

Summary: I received this VAIO nearly a year ago and am less than pleased with it. It has never worked right and no one can convince me it doesn't have anything to do with the operating system as I have owned VAIOs in the past that have worked perfectly with different windows OS. I've called VAIO support directly multiple times and am beginning to get the feeling they're just delaying until my warranty runs out.
Summary: The laptop that my daughter has been using for school for the past year and a half. We love Sony laptops, and the price here made it worth buying it online. Sony's software bundles on their computers are a great feature too.
Summary: Vaio never seems to disappoint. I've had 3 or 4 of them over the years because they work for my needs. For the last couple of years I was making due with a different brand, and I'm so glad to be back to this one. I use my computer for downloading/storing pictures from my Canon camera, for general office duties (I work from home), e-mail, and for Internet and live-streaming of video and music, and occasional Skyping.
Ridiculous Sony couldn't put out a product that functions on the most BASIC levels! Stay away!

Summary: Awful. Seriously. What are the 2 of the main aspects of having a laptop? 1) wireless internet access - portability 2) not needing a mouse - portability I have no complaints about the actual OS or the harddrive or anything about this laptop, but it seems ridiculous that Sony couldn't put out a product that functions properly on the most BASIC levels. The wireless capability of this thing is godawful.
