Summary: I have had nothing but problems with this computer from day one. I actually had to return this PC to the store 3 times on the FIRST day because every one that came out of the box was broken in some way - hard drive failures, overheats, and one that wouldn't boot up at all. Finally on the fourth try, we got one that seemed to be ok. WOW, was that wrong!!!
Summary: I don't really need a laptop much. Most everything I do can be done with an Internet Appliance, and I have two: a Google Tablet and a Chromebook. But when I need to process something on the road - like photos in Photoshop or video in Premiere, this is a great little machine. Unfortunately, I've had to replace the hard drive and keyboard, but they were relatively inexpensive and easy to install with a little help from YouTube.
Summary: It said like new condition, but the condition was so poor (scratches were everywhere) when I got it. After I used it for three month, the window system had just stopped. After ten month used, the screen goes out completely, Now I can't use it anymore (it is pending to the sony service center) I wish I could buy another one!!
Summary: The computer is great, my daughter is a freshman at college and loves it, although the screen cracked and i didn't get the extended warranty and within 3 months I'm now stuck with trying to get Sony to fix this and I'm upset that i have to pay for it. it was very sensitive and wished either Amazon would honor a 90 day return or fix policy.
Summary: Never had a Sony laptop before and so decided to buy one as it came equipped exactly as I wanted my next computer to be. It was a good choice for me. I also like the Sony support for this product... automatic updates and alert messages. Definitely recommend it.
Summary: If you want something more powerful you probably need to move into Alienware or something. For this price it is a great machine. The only thing it was lacking was a fast hard drive. I was able to remedy that problem with a new SSD. Now my boot time is about 7 seconds.
