Sony Vaio C Series (15.5-inch) Review

2 September 2011
  • Conclusion: Sony has once again proved that Windows is not synonymous with boring. This laptop is visually appealing and, better yet, it doesn’t require that buyers sacrifice their left arm for the sake of looks.
  • Pros: Full 1080p available for just $50, Stylish lid and interior, Excellent backlit keyboard, Solid performance
  • Cons: Small touchpad, Runs warm even at idle, Heavy and thick, Poor bang-for-the-buck

Review Sony Vaio VPC-CB2S1E/B Notebook

16 August 2011
  • Summary: Brilliant Entertainer. Sony has introduced a new member of the Vaio C series. As well as a Full HD display and Blu-ray drive, it has an Intel processor from the latest Sandy Bridge range and an AMD graphics card.
  • Pros: Attractive design, Solid build quality, Backlit keyboard, Good display contrast, USB 3.0, Blu-ray drive, We really liked the Full HD display with its strong contrast. It may not be suitable for professional image editing, but it is extremely well suited to showing films and games.
  • Cons: Susceptible to fingerprints, Keyboard flexes easily, Limited range of ports (no eSATA, card reader only 2-in-1), Battery takes a long time to recharge, A matt case. Sony has used glossy surfaces absolutely everywhere, so you constantly have to wipe fingerprints away.
