Summary: I've had the compuer for over a year now and want to love it but too many bugs. Wifi is unreliable, and it doesn't always wake from sleep and you have to turn off the computer to come back on. Battery goes dead quick in sleep mode. Nothing I can't live with but very annoying to have to restart the computer a few times per day. If you are considering this computer get the Samsung series 9. My wife has this computer and it is a step up from the sony.
The worst computer I have ever had the displeasure of purchasing.

Summary: My last Vaio was reliable, so I said to myself, "what the heck", and purchased this P.O.S. Boy do I regret being such a loyal sony customer. Like everyone else has mentioned, the wifi is atrocious. I can't get a reliable signal to save my life. I could be less than 5 feet away from the router, and it will still drop on avg of 2-3 times per hour. Hours spent on the phone with Sony tech support has lead nowhere. They keep telling me to download a new driver...
Summary: This laptop is very thin, but at the great expense of build quality. While Sony will tell you the give in the case is intentional ("it bends without breaking") it feels flimsy. Also, the color reproduction on the screen is good, but falls well short of the last-gen Vaio Z and the touch layer creates a noticeable grain.
Summary: I love the fact that it's under 2lbs and very thin and has decently powerful components for managing your daily computing tasks. It's a bit expensive, but I guess you pay the premium for the thin and light aspect. The full HD screen is great, high DPI with this small form factor can make it a bit difficult to read some text, but overall I'll take the extra screen real estate over the cheap and low res 1366x768 screens. The system boots up fast thanks to the SSD.
Summary: it is just bad: 1. Thicker than Apple Air 2. Glossy screen 3. VERY loud fan (I am actually pretty sure mine was defective) - this is the #1 reason I returned it 4. Unpredictable / weird touchpad - this is the reason I will not but a second one 5. Just did not feel THAT light 6. Backlit keyboard is only backlight around the button, the letter on the button is NOT backlit 7. Tiny and flimsy keys, again if compared to MacBook Air you immediately get the difference. 8.
Summary: Pros: lighter than Macair love windows 8 Sony sent me wifi adapter. fast fast start up- very fast Con: touchpad is very touchy and sensitive, I need to get used to it. WIFI issues , as mentioned by everyone else. Sony said I can sent to them for assessment by technician and if necessary repair ( customer relations/ solutions.).
