Review Sony Vaio Duo 11 SV-D1121X9EB Ultrabook

Notebookcheck
2 December 2012
  • Summary: Switch to Work. Switchable graphics are an old trick. Today, we want switchable work modes: first a mini laptop, then a Windows tablet, and all this without even switching devices. So is this new Sony model the ideal device for ambitious Windows users who cannot decide between tablets and notebooks?
  • Pros: Flat, even as a tablet, Sturdy build, Interfaces on the back, Good key feedback, Very good trackpoint replacement, Subnotebook-like ports, Strong performance thanks to the SSD, Good contrast and very good viewing angles, Good-quality rear camera, Battery slice optional, A reliable slide mechanism which will not necessarily draw the user's attention to the joint between the base and panel.
  • Cons: Run times lag behind the competition, Brightness drop when running on battery, The same brightness in battery mode as when the laptop is connected to a power socket.

Test Sony Vaio Duo 11 SV-D1121X9EB Ultrabook

Notebookcheck
