Summary: I have had nothing but trouble with this. It won't boot. The tablet goes into repair mode then says the repair failed. I've had this for a 5 or 6 weeks and have called Samsung, who gave me b the run around saying they needed my receipt to show where I bought it from. The vendor who sold this to me doesn't have contact info on the receipt, so Samsung REFUSED to fix it. The tablet has never been used.
Summary: Keep in mind that my "new" version looked just like a refurb. I also got the At&t version without the s pen so look out for that. This thing is a nightmare. The processor struggles with basic tasks (were talking 20 sec to open chrome) and updating was as bad as it could be. Seriously the first 12 hours were spent just letting it download the windows 8 upgrade (which I hate as well) which also was a nightmare.
Summary: Looks nice, but then you notice the port cover won't stay closed. Then the real fun begins: poor response from the screen and constant lock-ups. Totally useless and wish I had used it enough early on to be able to return it. Now that I've used it, I'm tempted to discard so I won't be constantly reminded of my bad purchase. Add to all this that it has the "advantage" of Windows 8 and you are in for a bad ride.
Summary: Cons: unable to use Bad return policy (not Amazon) 14 to return a dead device a Restocking Fee! so someone else can get a used one so, they send you one that last 14 day then you have to pay them more money and your time Pros: Samsung Amazon has a nice weight to it (if dead it can hold down the paper you are now using) "You may return any new electronic items purchased from Sunshine Trade that is still in unopened boxes, for a full refund within 14 days of purchase.
Summary: I really wanted to believe in Samsung. They've done a great job with TV's but I think that's where it ends. I bought one of these (not from Amazon, sorry) because all of the good reviews. It was trouble from the word go. The first the machine did was prompt me to accept the "SW updates", which it does regularly. Unfortunately the update rendered the machine useless. Similarly, it was also a Samsung update that screwed up my Galaxy smart phone.
Summary: I returned this unit. It was terrible and was obviously not new but was refurbished. It did not boot correctly and it never recognized the 4g lte microsim. Make certain you check out all the tablet deals. This one isn't even close to the best model or price.
Summary: Received the package and was excited about my new laptop. Upon opening, setting up, and playing around on it I came to the resolution that I had just purchased a giant windows phone that only connects to wi-fi. (I know it wasn't supposed to connect to any networks) This convertible tablet runs windows RT; for those who don't know, Windows RT is just the basic Windows which won't let you Install anything except through the windows store, or if DL from the producers...
