Summary: Purchased this laptop last year for less than $500 and a year later I am still very very happy with it. I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. The I3 processor/4MB RAM combo can handle any common task or multiple tasks with incredible ease. Last month I added an additional 4MB to the RAM and my gosh the computer runs so smooth and so much faster now. Design is stylish and sleek. It is also fairly light. I'm happy with my Samsung laptop.
Summary: I bought this laptop about 8 months ago and I absolutely love it. I am a teacher and move from school to school during the day so it travels everywhere with me. I have not had a single problem with it so far, despite the abuse it takes on a daily basis. I absolutely love the "quick restart" after closing the lid because when I am teaching it is nice that my computer is back on in 5 seconds. My old computer took a minute before I could get back on and access programs.
Summary: The previous reviews covered most (if not all) of the positives about this computers. As for one reviewer's dislike of the keyboard, that's clearly a matter of taste as I find the keyboard OK, position-wise and the feel of the keys. Anyhow, to take up the issue stated in this review title. The first thing I did after acquiring the RV-511 was to junk Windows 7 and install GNU-Linux Ubuntu 10.04. This is the most recent Long Term Support Ubuntu distro.
Summary: Excellent for the money, bought for my daughters 16th birthday, just in time for GCSE's. Hopefully it will last until University, her face was worth every penny when she opened it! Was the best spec we could find for her budget. Fantastic that we could pick up from our local express store in just two days.
Summary: I need to make clear straight away that I am not a conoisseur of laptops! I originally bought a netbook type machine for a couple of hundred pounds less than this but it just wasn't versatile enough, nor was the fint large enough. I have had this laptop for a few weeks now and am getting on really well with it, It is plenty big enough whilst still being portable. I have used it for emails and the internet and also used the Word facility.
Excellent Product and Easy to Use (for a 91 year old)

Summary: I bought this to bring my uncle who is 91 up to date so he could Skype me when I was in NZ. He loves it.. it is light weight, very fast and has lots of memory. He probably didn't need some much storage and memory, but always trust Samsung and at the competitive price was first choice. Would recommend to anyone and my uncle feels he is now connected to the world!!
