Summary: The specs likely make this laptop overkill for many people, but it is certainly nice to use. I use this as my primary machine and have had no real issues with it, apart from with Samsungs software. I would not recommend upgrading to Windows 8, as Samsungs software and drivers will play havoc with your networking; I have had to uninstall most of the preinstalled software. As a multimedia machine, this is great.
Summary: The laptop is great, it can run very intensive games with modest settings and the keyboard is well spaced for my big fingers. However, the plastic casing is a little creaky and flexes in some places you don't want it to flex. The speakers leave a little to be desired, so I've taken to using an external one, which seems to be fine. The only really worrying thing is the heat given off by the fan at the back left corner. This thing gets HOT.
and more to the point my wife likes it..............

Summary: In fact she was the happiest I have seen her in a long while. The PC boots up, it allows surfing and photo management and seems responsive with no performance issues. In a nutshell it works like laptop PC's should.Wide screen is a bonus and has largely revolutionised my wifes use of the laptop. Using it for work and social. No problems connecting to internet first time.
Summary: Nice screen i use lightroom4 and elements10 and find the extra size great with photographs. one problem is i can not get it to find driver for my two printers on network. i have an acer win7 and that found both printers with no problem at all.
Summary: Very good laptop using it mainly for work but I wanted a large screen and to play games on and this does the job very well. Only problem I have had with it was the initial setup convinced me to split the hard drive into two separate partitions for no apparent reason and as a result restarting is very slow, fixed simply by doing initialization again without partitioning or by making the single partition very small with only the operating system on it (doing this causes...
Summary: I was searching for the ideal desktop replacement and this was it. Acer Aspire V3-771G comes close but is more expensive and only available with Windows 8 now! Didn't want to be forced to Win 8 yet. Not when the mastermind behind it leaves Microsoft after weeks of it's launch!! Coming back to this product - uncomparable specs for the price. Elegant and sexy in appearance if you like BIG. Screen is quite crisp, though might not cut it for those who have tasted better.
At this moment in time the best lappy for the price

Summary: Bought the Samsung RF711UK08 to replace a very well specced & upgraded Dell Latitude 800 c2004 6 weeks ago. Nearest and dearest has a Galaxy S2 and we have a Samsung SmartTV so that helped the decision making process. Seamless integration between these items. I have a custom built desktop PC which is a tad willy-fandango cos it does serious video editing - so I feel I can give a fair comment on this lappy in comparison. IT ROCKS! I have 2 issues - only 2 issues.
Summary: Excellent and fast computer, installed the 256GB SSD with 'Macrium Reflect' as advised and its running like Usain Bolt. Online gaming, streaming and office are running very well. The screen is excellent, with no discernible pixelation. My gripe: the construction is somewhat flimsy, however - the plastic does prevent my wrists from burning. Also, I did have issues with the awful blu-ray software (it didn't want to load the movie due to failed updates..
Summary: Amazing machine :) , just little bit sad the 2gb of video was not dedicated :( also after one week of usage the screen shows up a stuck pixel :( I was able to remove with a software but afraid it come back... Delivery was one day just awesome...
Summary: This laptop is wonderful to use and to look at. Does everything it says on the tin. The only flaw - and it's pretty major for me - is the poor sound. The volume is just too low, too low even to hear what the quality is like, despite the grand sounding sound equipment it boasts. Yes, it's good if you plug in decent speakers, but for me it means I can't just take the laptop it elsewhere in the house to watch a film or listen to music as it's not possible to hear media...
