Review Samsung RF711-S02DE Notebook

Notebookcheck
8 May 2011
  • Summary: Multimedian. Samsung introduces the Sandy Bridge processors to the RF range and supplies a proper multimedia laptop that is even suitable for gaming in the RF711. Why this laptop wastes a part of its theoretical maximum performance can be read in our review.
  • Pros: Solid workmanship, Stylish, but nevertheless plain design, Good keyboard, BluRay drive, Adequate battery runtimes in low load, Typing is very pleasant on the Samsung RF711's keyboard. You even like to type longer texts on it.
  • Cons: No Full HD display, Throttling during full load (undersized power adapter), Display brightness is limited in battery mode, We would have liked to see a Full HD display for the RF711 so that the quality of BluRays can be exploited.

Samsung RF711 review

expertreviews.co.uk
1 May 2011
  • Excerpt: Samsung's laptops have always had a refined look, and the RF711 is no exception. The glossy lid has a translucent starburst effect which is eye-catching, and it opens up to a two-tone keyboard panel that reminded us of one of Sony's Vaio designs.
