Samsung RF510 Review

LAPTOP Magazine
23 December 2010
  • Summary: The Samsung RF510 provides above-average performance in a stylish and resasonably-priced package. However, in this price range, the Dell XPS 15 provides similar performance with better audio, a more colorful screen, a backlit keyboard, and configuration options such as Blu-ray and a full HD display.

Review Samsung RF510 Notebook

17 December 2010
  • Summary: Matt Multimedian. Multimedia performance with Core i5-460M & GeForce GT 330M, paired with office qualities like a matt display, low emissions and good input devices. The perfect 15.6 incher for the consumer bearing ambitions?
  • Pros: High-end materials, Generally stable case, Blu-Ray player & USB 3.0, Inputs with good feedback, Quiet & cool, High computing performance, Fast hard disk, A perfect cooling system with Samsung's typical Silent Mode. When it has to be quiet, it is extremely quiet. When it can be loud, it doesn't overdo it.
  • Cons: Color poor and contrast low TFT, Narrow viewing angles, Fairly short battery life, No eSATA, ExpressCard, A display with stable viewing angles and better contrasts would be beneficial for movie fans and office users alike.

Samsung RF510 Review: Editor’s Choice – Good, Fast and Cheap

8 November 2010
  • Excerpt: The saying goes that you can have something, Good Fast and Cheap — so long as you are OK settling for two out of the three choices. Well, the Samsung RF510 15.6″ notebook goes against popular logic and delivers on all three of these criteria. It is rare to find a notebook that meets or exceeds our expectations in so many areas — and is available under $1,000 which is why we have awarded it a Notebooks.com Editor’s Choice award.
  • Pros: Design shows obvious thought into the use and a sense of style., Powerful enough to handle intense needs, Price – Under $1,000, Keyboard and Mouse are very good., Loud and clear Audio
  • Cons: Low battery life, Lid attracts fingerprints

Launched in early September the Samsung RF510 comes in two configurations , the S01 and the S02. Samsung was kind enough to send us over the Samsung RF510 S02 notebook which comes complete with an Intel Core i7-720QM processor and a NVIDA GeForce GT330M GPU with 1GB RAM and CUDA technology.

Test Samsung RF510 Notebook

15 December 2010
  • Pros: Hochwertiges Material, Im Wesentlichen stabiles Chassis, Blu-ray & USB 3.0, Blu-ray Player, Eingaben mit gutem Feedback, Leise & kühl, Starke Rechenleistung, Schnelle Festplatte
  • Cons: Farb- und kontrastschwaches TFT, Kleine Blickwinkel, Relativ kurze Laufzeiten, Kein eSATA, ExpressCard
