Summary: Bought this after using the previous Series 9 (13") which was a dream laptop. This one is a huge disappointment. The contrast on the screen is a joke. (Yes I have tried the calibrations posted online). That alone is a deal breaker on a $1500 laptop. Other beefs: * Reconfigured design makes it almost impossible to open the laptop.
Summary: Touchpad is too big and too sensitive, it gets in the way while typing. Stress cracks appeared at hinges after 3 weeks of use. Samsung acknowledged problem and coverage under warranty. Sent to 3rd party for repairs, repair company then voided warranty due to "Damage". They then offered to repair $7 cover for a $50 "Evaluation Fee" and then whatever costs for the actual repair.
Summary: I really regret buying this device... the charger get really really hot. The wireless adapter does not work well, just to hibernate and you have to reboot your computer. But the worst part is Samsung support: it is the WORST ever!!! I followed all the procedures they told me to fix the wireless adapter problem, just a Basic Recover.... and since then my computer just get Windows blue screen!!! I went to Customer Representative office and I got the worst service ever!
Speedy Laptop - Slick Design - Horrible Internet connectivity
17 August 2012
Summary: I purchased this laptop because I do a bunch of video editing and I was about to hit the road and wanted a lighter laptop to travel with. The speed is amazing and the flash hard drive is extra speedy. I wanted to keep this computer badly, but the internet connectivity is horrible. I tested it compared to 2 of my other older laptops and at 20 feet away from the router the Samsung was about 1/2 the speed.
Summary: This product looks stunning. Unfortunately the wireless adapter doesn't function properly. Google "Samsung series 9 WiFi problems" and read the seemingly endless forum threads about it. Stay away if you want a machine which can connect to the internet. Sort it out Samsung.
Summary: Here's my story. I wanted to buy a premium 15 inch ultrabook and one of the only options was this one. So I bought one (not from amazon), but had to send it back because the trackpad was loose and it made a very annoying sound when tapped in the center. So I got my second series 9, but unfortunately it was as bad as the first if not worse: some of the keys on the keyboard made annoying sounds when pressed (the space bar made a rustling sound and the enter key had quite a...
Summary: I jusr wanted to warn users who buy this laptop - this is not a user friendly laptop and it is absolutely frustrating to use. It's not logical. there are no escape button that will allow you to exit the applications, no easy way to close apps, no easy way to add items on the start screen easily, the storage space is dismal - ive been using it for one day only and the storage is near capacity.
Passierte einfach so.
