not worth the price

Summary: Samsung disappointment. It was almost the most expensive laptop in the store. Hard drive failed after 6 months. I was in urgent situation and could not exercise Sumsung's manufacturer warranty, because I needed functional laptop in one day. I had to repair it locally and pay for it. Discover that the little "Application Not Responding" messages received from the beginning were the symptoms of problems with my hard drive. Live and learn... Product not worth the price.
Summary: Pros: Fast Sexy Battery lasts and lasts Screen is matte and nice(when viewed in the right angle) Cons: Space bar barely works.(almost unusable) Screen is getting keyboard marks on it after 2 months(my 6 year old sony still has no marks) Screen viewing angle is horrible. Wrist rest cuts into my palms and wrists. I love Samsung products but this laptop is barely usable for me. It hurts to try and type on it and furthermore half the time the space bar doesn't register.
Summary: I was very excited with the purchase of the Samsung Series 7 NP700Z5A-S0AUS 15.6-Inch Laptop. I have Samsung monitors and HDTV'S and have always been very satisfied with the quality and service from the company. When I viewed their new product line I was very impressed and from a buyer who was very pleased with past purchases from them I felt comfortable with their product.
"Was" Great CPU - Some form and function design flaws

Summary: UPDATE: Well after having this Computer for some time now I have found a few other problems with it. Problem 1: The Graphics card is garbage. I use several 3D rendering programs and the system will not work properly with them. While Samsung Support admits that the software is compatible and can handle them, the system does not handle it. The software manufacturer says its Samsung, Samsung says there is nothing more they can do.
Summary: I ordered this laptop in June. When I began using it connection to the Internet was erratic. Sometimes I got messages such as 'the connection to [...] interrupted by a change in the network connection' OR 'The server at [...] be found because the DNS look-up failed' OR the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding' OR 'Oops: Google Chrome could not find www.amazon.co.uk' I tried various options myself to solve the problem but could not.
Summary: Pro It boots and apart from the hard drive crashes seems reliable. Con * The mouse track pad is completely unusable. The mouse buttons don't always click properly and accidental taps cause clicks to happen when you don't want them to. * The hard drive crashed. Twice. * I left the UK and provided my own hard drive, then found out you can't do that without having great difficulty installing drivers.
Pros: It works
Cons: Trackpad is awful and limited driver support
I would only change one thing about the laptop - amended review

Summary: The laptop looks amazing. The specs are pretty good. I like that the laptop is really quiet, the key pad is backlit (you can adjust the brightness of this). The brushed aluminium finish makes the laptop look really nice. Other laptops are too plasticky and cheap looking for my tastes. The speakers are good. Windows 8 takes a bit of getting used to. It certainly looks impressive. I used to have a Macbook PRo that I bought six years ago.
Summary: When I saw this product i was excited about the specs and the price. I had read about issues with the trackpad but i thought it wouldn't be that bad, but it was.. Also, there were a couple of issues with the keyboard backlit not working properly. But the most annoying (which is probably a fault in the particular item i purchased) was that it was crashing almost every day (having the latest drivers and windows updates), so I had to return it..
Summary: Purchased elsewhere but thought it important to share my experiences of this laptop as I was influenced by the reviews i had read here. Plus points nice looking laptop, feels solid and well made, back lit keyboard is great ( except for keypad), battery life seems good. Not so good Purchased to replace a 9 year HP so thought I5, 8gb would show a good step forward but frankly side by side test with old machine reveals only very slight improvement in start up and chrome...
Summary: I purchased this product after a lot of research and reviews. However, none of the reviews and (even spec sheets) showed any indication about there being a difference between the keyboards of the i5 and i7 version. A backlit keyboard is very important to me and it is a shame that the specs are not made more clear The Laptop otherwise looks very nice and I will update the review once I get a new one.
