Perfect machine except for one thing..
26 February 2014
Summary: This machine is fast, the quick cache is one of those things you didn't realize you were missing until you have it, the screen is clear, the case is tough and its very powerful and flawless for gaming. My one gripe is when using the computer on your lap, by flaw of design, the touchpad doesn't work perfectly.
Summary: I am quite satisfied with this laptop. It serves my purposes, decent battery life, good performance when the set to high performance, nifty features. What really blew me away was the built in disc tray. I despise trays so that was huge for me. The keys are nicely spaced and the backlit keyboard is another nifty feature. The few things I have to complain about: The track pad was a pain at first but with some programs installed is no longer a problem.
Summary: Great computer, very sleek and portable, the screen is anti glare, the touchpad is relatively big and is very sensitive and accurate. fast startup loaded windows 8 on it and it is working very nicely.
Summary: I like the computer, especially for 830$. It's fast, nice a small, travel friendly, perfect size screen. A couple things to note, The overview says there is a USB port on the right side, there is not; I have 2 on the left. One's a normal USB, while the other is a USB SS, so technically you only have one normal USB port.
Summary: Ditto most of the other reviews. I'm very happy with this machine. It is fast processing, has fast start up, has a high resolution screen, decent battery life (5+ hrs using a high power scheme) and an excellent back-lit keyboard. A couple of user configurable recommendations though - Configure the wireless card to "Max Performance" when on battery otherwise the WiFi performance is dismal. Configure the Touchpad to minimum sensitivity and/or get a USB mouse.
Summary: This is a great Laptop, awesome bang for buck. It is very attractive, slim, portable and powerfull. It has loads of hard drive space, very quick and responsive cpu, and a low to mid range graphics card that gives the laptop a small gaming edge over the competition. Dont get me wrong its not a gaming rig, but if you occasionaly like playing a computer game or two that is not super demanding you will be good.
What the heck is with this great notebook's track pad?

Summary: I love this computer. It's fast, great anti-reflective screen, sturdy feeling build, wireless connectivity is flawless, lighted keyboard rocks, plus it's a great looking notebook. (5 stars) My only issue with this machine is the trackpad. I have the latest driver update and it is still impossible to navigate. I have given up on using it and have opted for a mouse. (0 stars) The trackpad stinks but the computer itself is a rose....
Summary: It's not so easy to find a light, powerful 14" laptop with an optical drive these days. This one fits the bill, although a blu-ray drive would have been a nice addition. I've been using it for about a month and am quite satisfied with its performance. I'm a photographer and this machine is my travel companion. It has enough horsepower to handle Photoshop as well as video editting software (I'm not a gamer, so can't comment on how well it performs in that space).
Summary: I've had this product for a day and i'm sending it in for a replacement. The first bad thing is the light under the mute button doesn't turn on. When I press the mouse it locks, and I have to press the top corners to unlock it. PROS: Feel, quality build, speed, fan, screen, and everything mentioned in the previous reviews, this is really a laptop of quality, especially keyboard and the pad. they work well.
