Summary: I really like this computer, tho I had to format it right from the start because the HDD was running 100% all the time. And I prefer windows 7 aswell. All in all I really like it. It is very good and the gt630m is a good one. Don't expect to run BF3... at all, but it can run lower end games just fine.
Pros: Nice Looking, Good Performance, Good Build Quality
Cons: Slow With windows 8, Had to Format on arrival
Summary: I was happy with my Samsung until just before the one year warranty expired. The power cord connection on the laptop got really hot and melted. I was so hot I burned my finger complete with a blister. I ordered a new power cord and at this point it would not work. I called Samsung and the service rep said she had the same problem with hers. She told me my warranty would be take care of it because it was only expired a few days.
Summary: I don't review often, but I'm impressed enough with this laptop to let people know. I've had it for about three weeks now, and use it constantly. I bought it primarily for use in school and at work. For school I use it to write code, and for work/school I use ArcGIS for geography related work. I wanted a decently powered computer for running ArcGIS quickly (refresh and draw rates on big projects can really bog the program down), and one that could play games was a bonus.
Summary: I am sure that a computer whizz kid would have no problems, but I don't like the Windows 8 it comes with. The 'apps' are just annoying, and kick in when you don't want them. I have downloaded a Shell clone of Windows 7 but seem unable to switch off the apps which interrupt any intuitive navigation. I also keep losing internet connection, I have a TalkTalk router, and have no problems with my Samsung Tab so assume the notebook is more sensitive to signal fluctuations.
Summary: Out of the box the laptop was practically unusable. It was so slow that even scrolling with the touchpad was shuddery and having more than about 4 tabs in google chrome would slow the laptop to a near halt and processes would stop responding (sometimes system processes which would require me to restart - once I was unable to do this while updating the BIOS and had to wait 6 hours for the battery to deplete).
