Summary: I have had this computer since the middle of September and overall I am very pleased with it. I did add 4gb of memory and a Samsung 830 256gb SSD drive. The start up and wake up times are very fast, almost no waiting. The computer is a little heavier than most ultrabooks (I know it has to be Intel based to be a true ultrabook) but remember it has a DVD drive where most ultrabooks don't. However I have found a few issues: It does get a little warm.
Summary: I've had an interesting experience with this system. Like another reviewer, my first one had a bad trackpad, and the trackpad configuration software was broken - it would crash as soon as I ran it. So I RMA'd it back to Amazon, and got a replacement system. My second system's trackpad worked properly. The trackpad configuration software was still broken, until something happened internally which fixed it. I do not know which update I did to fix it, but something did.
Summary: This is a great laptop for word processing and light games. Light and fast. But it does get hot after an hour of use(maybe mine only?) even if the only program running is ie/chrome. I added 4GB RAM for performance improvement and installed win8pro. I played few games(cs,aoe) and it got warm fast. Even with only videos, it did get warm fast.
Summary: I wanted something portable but could serve as a desktop replacement, and this mostly does the trick. I have not upgraded the ram yet, but after some play I think I will do that -- it's probably a good idea to just get it shipped together. Pros: Very thin and light -- excellent portability. Good power for price ratio -- comparable specs for price are difficult to find. Cons: The touchpad. It's hypersensitive and positioned right in the middle of the laptop.
Summary: I bought this item recently based on some research and the available reviews and wasn't disappointed. I have to admit that I installed a Samsung 830 128GB SSD that I got on sale for $70, but it was a good performer before that. With the upgrade it boots in sub 20 seconds. I'm a CS grad student and I use it mostly for writing code and other productivity tasks, but the embedded graphics is pretty impressive from some of the light gaming I've tested on it.
Summary: Let me preface my review with two facts (1) My husband is a computer junkie, and (2) I know absolutely nothing about computer hardware/software. When I buy a computer, I go for ease of use and looks. That being said, both of us are pleased with this laptop. I am about to start traveling for my job, and I needed to replace my 8 year old laptop from my college days. I wanted something light, portable, but of a decent size and with an internal CD/DVD drive.
Summary: I'm just going to write a short review with some pros and cons: Pros: Thin/light Matte Screen Good for light gaming ~5 hour battery life Cons: Screen seems kind of flimsy/wobbles Weak wifi reception, but its fast Screen color and gamma seems off, had to adjust it in the display calibration Low resolution Samsung software is buggy so far Overall I'm happy with it so far, satisfied with the performance but it seems like they overlooked some things.
Awesome form factor with power in a very affordable price range...

Summary: I absolutely love my laptop, with an amazing form factor of only 1.81 kg and the latest hardware with the latest software make this an absolute delight to use. Although with most AMD laptop CPUs, heating is still an issue, and I occasionally feel the base of this get pretty hot. Not an issue though.... I love this laptop...
