Review Samsung Series 5 535U4C Notebook

Notebookcheck
29 August 2012
  • Summary: Off the beaten path. Samsung expands its Series 5 family of compact notebooks with a fairly inexpensive 14-inch model. This time, the Korean manufacturer ventures in a new direction and uses AMD's Trinity architecture, which features switchable graphics. Unfortunately, things don't quite add up.
  • Pros: - Visual appearance, - Materials and build quality, - Compact and comparatively light, - Well equipped, including optical drive, - Non-glare display, very bright, - Not very noisy during every-day use, The Samsung 535U4C is visually very appealing. The design is both sophisticated and timeless. We also like the compact size and low weight. A nice advantage for a mobile companion is the bright, non-glare display.
  • Cons: - Average viewing angles, - Ho-hum performance of CPU und GPU, - Unpleasant graphics card switching, - Slow hard drive, Non-glare and bright is not quite enough. We would appreciate more contrast, better color space coverage, and better viewing angles.

  • Pros: Mobilität, Extrem helles Display, Gute Ausstattung, Flotte Grafik
