Mediocre - would not recommend to a friend

Mike Forster, Amazon

26 January 2013
  • Summary: I purchased the Samsung NP540U3C-A01UB in December 2012, along with a very similar Sony SVT13126CXS Windows 8 touchscreen ultrabook. I first applied all available software updates from the vendor and from Microsoft, and then connected them wirelessly to an elevated ASUS RT-AC66U router and installed...

Boiught on the name, but perhaps i shouldn't have

Captain Sensible, Amazon
30 June 2014
  • Summary: Yes, had this for a couple of months now, with no major problems but the screen sometime develops a display problem with a result that it locks up and I have to restart. Some peculiar circles appear on either the right or lefty hand sides of the display. I won't be recommending this to anyone.

Disappointing

M. Gledhill, Amazon
10 February 2013
  • Summary: This is a great product... in the photos. In reality, I'm sorry, it just looks and feels "cheap". The first (huge) disappointment was with the SSD size. A 128Gb SSD isn't particularly big, but when I got it home and turned it on, Windows reported "55.8Gb free out of 91.6Gb". What ?!

Disappointing after a few months - semmed a good solid product

M. Greenwood, Amazon
9 February 2013
  • Summary: The review below was written after two month's use. The lid closing mechanism being too tight ended up being a major problem, the hinge became distorted and opened up a split between top and bottom casing. The repairers took a month to sort that, but the lid still doen't quite close properly.
