Nice Ultrabook at a reasonable price with Windows 8
9 August 2013
Summary: Like it with the Windows 8 but sometimes the touch feature doesn't operate and I have to log off and back on. The numbers pad is only on top and not on the side as well which would make it easier to enter numbers... Also, the charger already broke on me; it broke at the base where you plug it into the laptop....Be careful that is doesn't stretch too far while charging, but I found a new one at a reasonable price on ebay. Overall, I like it!
Summary: Great laptop......very light the touch sreen is very responsive and works great with the windows 8...the only bad thing is that doesnt have dvd burner but you can buy a external very cheap at best buy or wall mart. It turns on very quick and its very thin.
Summary: I like the look and feel of the laptop and that it's so light. It does take some getting used to though with the touch screen and windows 8 but that's a user education piece. I like the keyboard. It takes time to get used to working the apps as opposed to the web pages but I really like it.Great screen resolution too for videos etc.
Summary: Since opening the box three days ago, I've had nothing but trouble with this laptop. The touch screen has a mind of it's own and clicks constantly from the bottom left corner of the screen. Apparently, this is a common fault with this laptop - there are videos on YouTube that people have posted of their screens doing the same thing as mine.
Summary: I have a high-end Samsung laptop, and being highly satisfied with that laptop I decided to purchase this Sumsung touchscreen laptop. In fact I purchased 2 of them, one from Amazon and one from Best Choice. Laptop from Best Choice: Came with a really old charger (the one from Amazon said Rev 1.5 on the charger - the one from Best Choice was much older and worse quality).
Summary: I have a Samsung ultrabook series 5 NP540U3C and wish I had never bought it. It is only 10 months old and still under guarantee and has already had 2 major issues. The first after only a month after buying it was a faulty RAM, kept going to BSOD (blue screen of death) so was pretty unusable for the first month or so... BAD but repairable. But WORSE still after only 10 months the HINGE mechanism jammed ...
Summary: I treated myself to this laptop over Christmas after my last (cheapish) one started to fail. I did search for a couple of months before committing but this one seemed to tick all of the boxes in terms of physical size, storage space, etc. It is great. I love the size of it, not too big making it a viable alternative to the iPad when I have more work to do. It's very sexy and sleek to the look and feel, and it's easy to get started.
