The cord breaks easily and i have already gone through four different cords

Summary: I received this laptop as a gift little over a year ago. since then i have had numerous problems with this product. The cord breaks easily and i have already gone through four different cords. The fan stopped working and i had to repair it myself. but as of right now the most pressing issue is that the screen is getting false inputs that are keeping me from using the mouse.
Summary: After only 45 days the motherboard burned out and it's been at Samsung's only service center in Texas for over a week waiting for a part. In addition, Samsung's web site doesn't sell an extra power supply unit. I should have considered this before I bought it but I haven't had a laptop break in so many years that it wasn't even on my radar. Live and learn I guess. Hopefully I'll get it back as good as new.
Summary: As others have said, this gets incredibly hot at times. Watching a movie or doing any video editing gets this thing nuclear hot. The battery life is also horrible if pressing its capabilities. With screen dimmed and only browsing single pages/checking email etc I get about 2.5 hours max and while watching a movie I'm lucky to be able to even finish the movie before it shuts down.
Summary: I was so excited to open this up and get it started. It looked beautiful and had overall good reviews and great specs. I was very frustrated to discover, however, that the power connection was faulty. The power jack did not fit completely and fell out very easily. It would charge, but shifting it around even a little would cause the charging to be interrupted.
It worked for a while until Samsung techs kept breaking it

Summary: After I'd operated with a decent late 2009-vintage gaming laptop for home primary use and a netbook for my commute, and having built a gaming desktop, I found myself wanting to make some changes in how I operate my computers. I'm a systems engineer/administrator and really, really persnickity about my technology needs, and I'd already sampled the Asus Zenbook and Acer Aspire S3 - completely unusable if you're a decent typist.
Summary: I don't have much experience with laptops and certainly would be no good writing a review on its performance etc etc but two things have really stuck out for me. 1. I have two cuts from the laptop, one of which is looking like it will scar, and expect more if I keep using it. The edge of the laptop's screen back, near the hinge, is ridiculously sharp - I have even showed it to other people who agree because I thought I was being ridiculous!
Summary: Out of the box this seemed fine. It was thin and light and with very nice screen. The applications ran fast. HOWEVER, once I started using Skype a major limitation came to light. The terrible microphone which resulted in muffled sound. The streamed video was also choppy and poor quality. I suspect problems may lie with the Wifi. I tried one or two simple tweaks but no difference. I should also have looked at the other reviews about the microphone quality.
Summary: Bought this as a birthday present for my partner, all was well until we tried to use it for skype... Truely awful sound quality and everyone we called complained. As this laptop uses the same audio chipset as the majorty of ultrabooks, my own toshiba included, its beyond me how samsung could have messed this up so badly. Returned for a full refund.
