Summary: I was very skeptical of purchasing this laptop. After many weeks of research and reading reviews of other laptops, I chose to go with this one. So far, it has been perfect for me. I love everything about it. From the weight, to looks, to processing speed. All I need a laptop for is to browse the internet and iTunes...so I don't really bother about the specs. I am also new to the Windows 8 and It only took me a couple of days to get use to.
Summary: Easy Settings can be nice though as it will allow access to certain features of the laptop that otherwise might be more difficult to change. An example of this is the Battery Life Extender. You can turn it on or off through Easy Settings or through the BIOS setting.
Summary: I opened this computer's package on March 5th, 2013, and it's been around 4 days since then, so I have been able to review this computer from its beginning to the end of its first four days. Please keep in mind that college student is reviewing this and likes to play games (not first person shooters, though) when he has free time. Any updates have the form YYYY/MM/DD. *~The basic specs, which I think are important, are: 1.
Summary: On the windows experience index the specs are: Processor : 7.1 Memory : 5.9 ( I upgraded it to 8 gb ram now it's 7.5) Graphics: 4.8 Gaming Graphics: 6.5 Primary hard disk: 5.9 I had this laptop for about a week now, and I gotta say I love it. It's very fast. I usually don't game that much, the only game that I play is "league of legends" and this laptop can handle it very well. I play on all high settings and still get 60fps.
Summary: It's the ultimate all purpose entertainment laptop and the best you will find for this price. I can easily say it's a desktop replacement. ------------- PROS: * Solid build, sturdy. Doesn't feel cheap at all. * The processor is a beast. * Enough memory to play the most demanding games (If you want more, you can upgrade it to a dual channel up to 16 GB, but I don't think you will need it unless you are a graphic designer).
Summary: I have just received the product, a used one from amazon. Previously, I had many laptops in the past, including Dell 15z and Lenovo ideapad U400, and both of these products have caused problems with dvd drives and over heating. This product, even though it is not as thin as ultrabook, is thin enough to give portability. However, the battery seems quite low, with balanced power setting and wifi on with two or three applications running, is about 2.5hours.
Summary: I wanted a 14 inch laptop with at least a core i5 processor & Windows 7, not Windows 8. Plus, I couldn't afford an ultrabook. This machine fit the bill and came at a good price. The computer is running well, it seems happy to run Office 10 & everything else I need. I haven't encountered any issues at all--the computer is working as intended. The machine is fairly fast, even though the 5400 rpm hard drive is a bit slow.
