Summary: Lets first understand that I'm 60 yrs old. I've been nursing a 10 yr old HP desktop running windows XP and explorer 5 (6?). So jumping into windows 8 was quite an experience. I'd borrowed my daughters new laptop (the same model) and found it very easy to operate, so I bought the same one.
Summary: I snagged this puppy for a mere $434, which seems to be deal of century. Via Amazon's warehouse deals, and although listed as "used," seems new except for the non-Samsung box. The computer box was shipped to me in a grossly oversized and wasteful larger shipping box, which wasn't even needed.
Summary: This baby has LOTS of power, and I would put it up against an i7 any day of the week. Plus it will automatically take up to half of the available memory, in this case 3 of the 6 gigs, and make it available for graphics.
Summary: So I would like to say that I was saving up for a new Laptop to perform better than my old one. My main reason for getting a new Laptop was so I could play my games much better but without resorting to buying a gaming Laptop.
Summary: Fastest laptop you will find for this price point. There is a plethora of AMD/Intel comparisons out there on sites like anadtech and tomshardware but all you need to know is any AMD chip beats out their price range competitor (in so few words).
