Pretty good computer
21 August 2013
Summary: I thought I'd write a review of this laptop because I had some issues with it in the beginning and wanted to help others in case they have had the same problem. The wifi hasn't been the issue so much as another problem with image rendering. I installed Chrome and Firefox and both had problems (as did IE) rendering images and content on any web page. I'd have to refresh and then refresh a few more times to render all the content.
Summary: thats the only thing wrong with it is the wifi if your not close to your router it goes in to limited mode or cuts off completely and I dont know if its just me but the touch pad is a little weird too other then those to problems its a pretty good laptop
Summary: The laptop was just what I wanted except for the built in camera. It has a very blurry picture and in my opinion is pretty much unusable. Since I like to web-chat this is a big disappointment.
Summary: This isn't a thorough review. The specs are amazing and when sold for $749.99 it is definitely a steal, however, there are issues: The mouse pad will occasionally freeze(solved using an external mouse), hibernation or sleep mode will sometimes fail and cause the laptop to restart(boot ups are quick luckily), and most annoyingly the wifi card would shutdown/crap out every now and then, usually when I'm running desktop.
Summary: We just got it, though it took 3 tries, one damaged, one wrong, till we got the laptop. (Be cautious, this is an i7 processor, but the i5 looks identical and is but one digit off on the model number. Amazon sent the wrong one in their second try) The touchpad is not as sensitive as I'd hoped, we've already had to restart it a couple of times to get it to work when it become inactive, but I'm trying to figure out if it is because we're switching sometimes from remote...
Summary: The laptop was delivered very quickly and easily set up. However it has developed an annoying problem: several times a day I get a message telling me to activate Windows and asking for a number which apparently should have been in an email I received or on some CD packaging (there was no CD, and I received no email; Windows 8 was installed on the machine when I received it). Also the computer seems quite slow.
Summary: A very well priced piece of kit but it does have some downsides......the keyboard is not the best I have used and I have noticed a tendency for the cursor to move around for no apparent reason......this can be a real nuisance when typing a letter and you need to watch the screen more than normal.
Summary: Have not tried with other OSes. Given low rating because of its choice of Windows8 which sucks. App launch is slow. WIFI is crap it does not like cordless or any power plugs near it (as advised by Samsung guys)....cheap internals I guess!!
Condition of the computer not consistent with the description

Summary: There was a 15 cm horizontal scratch across the screen. Although this does not affect the functioning of the computer it is distracting against a light background. I think that the condition of the machine was exaggerated - a similar scratch on the cover would have been more understandable.
