Horrible laptop...worst ever!
4 November 2013
Summary: By far the worst laptop I have ever purchased. Combine Windows 8 with a disappearing CD drive that is not even recognized as a device or drive most of the time and it makes you want to throw this thing out the window. Also have problems with bank sites and Netflix among others, but I think this may be a Windows 8 issue.
Summary: Hands down the WORST laptop I've ever owned. Within a month of getting it, my screen developed a flickering problem, and soon after the screen went full berzerk and would either turn black or be covered with color spectrums (basically nothing can be seen). This was definitely a screen/monitor reception issue, as I was able to use my computer "fine" by using my TV as a monitor. I did eventually have to send in my laptop to get the problem fixed. It was fixed.
Don't buy this model if you need Intel Wireless Display

Summary: I bought this machine to integrate with my Smart TV using Intel Wireless Display. Having spent $700 and two weekends, I have no luck. I have checked out the website of both Samsung and Intel, which confirms that this model and CPU chips support Intel WIDI. After receiving the machine, I noticed that the WIDI software wasn't installed. When I tried to download it from the Intel website, I got an error message that this platform is not compatible with WIDI.
Summary: Worst laptop I have ever owned. Windows 8 is terrible, but I speak of the laptop itself. - Some sort of RAM latency issue not inherent in Windows 8 must stem from faulty hardware installation. - The CD-ROM drive wants to open up on the slightest contact, and is touchy. For half the price this would be okay. At this price, no dice.
Came defective, lot's of time on live chat, sent for repairs and still the same problem

Summary: I bought this product from Amazon about a month ago. It didn't keep time from the moment I opened the box. I spent several hours on live chat - after many hours of humoring their problem solving efforts - they finally decided it was a bios/MB issue and had me send it in for repairs. $50 to send it from northern ca to tx and two weeks later it came back with the same problem.
Why Build A Laptop With A Tablet Operating System?

Summary: This is a review of the whole product. If you did a review of an automobile you would do a review of the whole product including the engine and drive train. If you had issues with the drive train you wouldn't go out and do a separate review of the transmisson manufacturer. Likewise I am reviewing the whole product offering. It's interesting to note that Microsoft is now selling Windows 8 hardware solutions and thus is competing with oem hardware vendors.
Summary: Touchpad constantly freezing , worked for 1st week then started freezing , most annoying also great difficulty gettting microsoft student software to install . My daughter was deeply upset as this was her xmas present. on positive note I must say seller - wiredless were excellent and helped us come to a satisfactory outcome .
Summary: Which was for about a day. The screen failed and I followed the instructions for returning it. I waited 28 days for the refund, as the instructions asked and ended up chasing it. To be fair, I got the refund quickly, but I'm now chasing up the £25 postage cost. It's really put me off the idea of buying a laptop from an online company like Amazon, who are essentially middle men. I don't like having to request something, and then chase it up when it doesn't happen.
Summary: I bought this computer in the middle of August with great trepidation as it has the dreaded windows 8 installed on it and it is definitely proving a nightmare. I also have a brand new HP Photosmart 6520 e-all-in-one printer which I tried to install but windows 8 does not allow it to install.
