Summary: Bought this model from a Wal-Mart back in July of 2013 had zero problems what so ever. I paid a bit under $700 for mine and got a 1TB Samsung EVO SSD around the same time for $240 on cyber Monday. Plastic hinges, which I have had no issue with yet, seem to be the biggest downside of the device. Wish windows 8 and 8.1 didn't suck-ass too. For me it was a very satisfying purchase, definitely a great laptop I'm sure Ill get another 4-7 years out of it.
Summary: I am unsure if it the problems with Windows 8.1 on this computer or simply the HD or what. Yet it runs very slow and after an hour with Samsung Customer Support I will never again buy a Samsung TV or Computer. Regardless of wether this is a Hardware or Software issue causing the problems. The failing of 2 Samsung TV's and 2 Samsung Computers both in less then a year is the end note. Back to ACER computers, several over several years, no problems still working.
Absolutely worth it and completely exceeds expectation

Summary: This little pc is amazing. Simply because it is super light weight, sleek and powerful. I have installed and run many different operating systems already and all worked nicely with this device. The manuals and online documentation states that this machine has a RAM capacity maximum of 8GB. I refute that simply because I has 16GB of RAM installed in it as I am typing this review. Absolutely worth it and completely exceeds expectation.
Summary: When I received this product, it worked flawlessly as I was adjusting to Windows 8.1. When I received this product, it was still running Windows 8, and it needed to be upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1. Following the upgrade, the laptop became glitchy and would no longer function properly. After have a Samsung customer representative take control of the PC by a virtual client, she advised me there was some time of flaw in the coding due to the update.
So disappointed in one of my favorite companies -- DOA after only 15 months of light use.

Summary: It WAS a great computer. Had everything I needed, and nothing I didn't. It integrated nicely with my Samsung phone, tablet, and TV. Then - just 3 months out of warranty, it died. It just decided to not boot. Took it to Geek Squad, and they said there is nothing that can be done. Spen an hour on the phone with Samsung, and they confirmed. I understand that it is out of warranty, but Samsung used to have a great reputation for quality, and I paid a premium price.
I think it works great. I've seen and used many laptops over years ...

Summary: Bought as a gift for a friend. Never saw it in person but from what I hear back and from what I have for myself on another Samsung, I think it works great. I've seen and used many laptops over years working as computer repair guy, Samsung laptops are one of the better ones out there. Hard to go wrong if the specs fit your need.
Summary: This laptop is so slow and unreliable. It is frozen more than it is operable. It kicks off of websites very easily and takes forever to restart. It is temperamental and difficult to navigate from one operation to another. No disk drive, and such an unreliable computer that I am not willing to invest any more money in its function.
