Summary: Bought for travelling and WIndows compatibility. It had the longest battery use time I could find and a decent size of hard disc. I also bought the external DVD drive that is powered from the USB ports, so doesn't need any more mains plugs and so can be used away from power. Because it is Windows I can sync it to my Desktop machine. The wi-fi has a good range to pick up hotspots when out.
Summary: Great Piece of kit. Easy to set up. WiFi worked instantly. Battery life probably 5hrs - not as adveryised. Switch off Bluetooth if not using as drains battery rapidly Avoid buying from RL Supplies Ltd - extremely bad experience. Sadly other vendors on Amazon dont answer questions.
Summary: Hi Everyone I purchased the Samsung NF210 a couple of weeks ago and as a Netbook I am very pleased indeed. The Dual-Core 1.5 Ghz Atom Processor does a good job with two tasks a once. I have added 1GB of Ram since this does make a difference, but what really makes this little machine spin is a programme I have found that better utilises the Windows Handling Routines. It is designed for mid-range CPU's and below.
Summary: This is the second NF210. My first one broke its keyboard and so Amazon refunded the money and I decided to go for the same model; the reasons for choosing it were still valid: good spec, good price attractive design. I have now had it a month and it works well; I love the fast start, from opening the lid to working - 3 seconds! The battery life is phenomenal too.
Summary: just what I was looking for, love it. Slips into my handbag, does the job, how did I live without it? Not a techie person as you guessed but it does all it says it would and has some nice little features to make life easy. I'll get extra memory as I'll need it in due course. And an elegant design that attracts admiration.
Summary: An Excellent netbook and the N550 processor is a big boost compared to the N450. I upgraded the RAM to 2GB and this really helped with opening web pages, good battery life and a pleasure to use.
Summary: I wanted a light weight easily transportable computer which did not gobble power. I also wanted a glare resistant screen for outdoor use. My main purpose "was" to use it as a portable terminal for my emergency preparedness grab and go communications kit. Now I am having thoughts of using it for all my roving whenever I need something to take notes or call home via open wifi links. I really like this unit.
Pros: Quick, Runs all day, anti glare screen, light weight, attractive, keeps me connected wirelessly.
Cons: Touch pad is a bit weak on the rt side of mine
Summary: I'm very happy with this netbook. I've pushed it fairly hard to see what it can cope with; the battery lasts for a full day of general use (3-4 hours surfing the net, an hour of streaming stuff on BBC iPlayer and, to really drain it, a couple of hours or so playing flash games while listening to music on media player. Okay, it can't cope with everything as smoothly as my desktop PC (I didn't even bother trying HD video), but I didn't expect it to.
Summary: This is a great little portable computer with a long battery life. I wanted a portable computer to take away on holiday so that I could check on my E-mails, use the Internet, Skype the kids and review my photos and HD Video. It does all of this well. Yes it's not the fastest computer on the market but you don't get long battery life with a super fast processor; but it does manage to play video from my Sony HD video.
