Samsung NF210

CNET
19 April 2014
  • Summary: Extremely slow, unreliable, battery life nowhere near as good as they claim, pretty annoying thing. Total waste of money. I will never buy anything that is made by Samsung, never again.
  • Pros: Design
  • Cons: Everything but design

Long battery use time

Dave L, Amazon
4 January 2014
  • Summary: Bought for travelling and WIndows compatibility. It had the longest battery use time I could find and a decent size of hard disc. I also bought the external DVD drive that is powered from the USB ports, so doesn't need any more mains plugs and so can be used away from power. Because it is Windows I can sync it to my Desktop machine. The wi-fi has a good range to pick up hotspots when out.

  • Summary: Bought it after reading reviews that promised HD videos could be played on this. Had to upgrade it to 2GB before this could be done. Very lightweight.

  • Summary: This machine looks good but its performance does not match. Comes with minimal preloaded software and loading useful stuff takes ages. And in my case has been very erratic on making wireless Internet connections. A huge amount of time has beeen spent puzzling over why it fails to connect.
  • Pros: small, light and easy to carry around
  • Cons: poor software

Very good as a netbook, but no 64-bit drivers

Niek B, Amazon
12 May 2012
  • Summary: I have had this netbook for slightly over a year now and (for a netbook) this samsung is absolutely fantastic; easy to carry, powerful enough to get a bit of work done while on the move, the battery life (which is I would estimate at 4 hours) is also pretty nice. Following the suggestions by early reviewers, I didn't even try to use it with 1 GB and immediately bought one additional GB (be sure to get the right memory!).

  • Summary: Speakers developed crackle within weeks Samasung customer care stated software issue but not so (is hardware fault) and then unable to get answer from them. Performance is sluggish. I bought this to travel abroad with for six months and chose for weight battery and performance but does not stack up. I also have to have a lead plug in to to speaker socket at all time due to the Speaker hardware issue.
  • Pros: It looks nice and is small !
  • Cons: Performance and speakers which crackle continuously

Nice little Samsung

Bob R, Amazon
25 October 2011
  • Summary: I needed a small computer for travelling and had purchased a Samsung netbook several years ago which was passed down through the family. It was a great little machine, which is still used daily and so I had no hesitation in looking again at the latest Samsung netbooks. The specification on the NF210 was good with the dual core processor and I also decided to upgrade the RAM to the maximum of 2GB, which does make a difference on some of the applications.

Solid from Samsung again!!

Jimmy, Amazon

  • Summary: I bought an Nc10 in 2008 and was blown away with my first netbook, I decided to buy this laptop for my brother in law and it is a lovely machine and what I have come to expect from samsung netbooks, good design, light and durable!! 2 small points, 1 windows starter as standard op but sudnt have to upgrade to full edition. 2. Unlike the nc10 the sides on the top of keyboard are slightly raised, giving it a lip. I prefer the sides being flush with the keyboard..
