Excerpt: Excellent little netbook, purchased mine about six months ago and I would definitely recommend it. Firstly it is hardy; my machine has been knocked on the floor and walked on by my kitten and still functions perfectly. It has a very good battery life (not quite the twelve hours promised, but then it as always relevant to whatever programs you are running and how many) and the size makes it very mobile.
Summary: for a very portable small laptop this does the job for me. I carry it around wit me alot and use it on my bed and alongside my desktop sometimes and wouldn't be without it. only gripes are the hour or so i spent unistalling the "crapware" samsung had put on, for something that supposed to do web browsing and email it was bloated up with games and various other junk. althought it has a camera for skype etc it is very laggy.
Summary: Long long battery life, everything works well, but the free software is a real negative. If you install hyperspace you can't remove it and it means that you have to go through unix to use Windows. So make sure you don't install it.
Summary: All the reviews I've read on here cover the main pros and cons of this netbook so there's not much point me repeating what's already been covered. What I will comment on however, is the ubiquitous complaint concerning the operation of the on/off switch. As far as I'm concerned, this is not a legitimate complaint; it's nothing more than a whinge. It does not irritate my fingers one jot and my fingers are by no means made of asbestos.
Summary: Pretty happy with the purchase. Screen good, 250G hard drive BUT comes with an awful lot off preloaded stuff that slows the operation right down. The problem is that you're not sure if you need half of the stuff so you're scared to delete it just in case. Lots of pop ups askng your permission to write to hard disk, how do I know if I should say yes or no?
Summary: Guys, don't be fooled. From the Samsung N220 product page, it says it comes with the "Easy Resolution Manager" tool. This means you can manually go to the tool, and adjust the resolution yourself. I saw a YouTube video of an owner going through various resolutions. While I was at the electronics store, I gave this Netbook a test run, and I was able to adjust the resolution. All you have to do is right click on the desktop, and there you go. Try it for yourselves.
Summary: The Samsung N220 is a great little computer. I uprated the memory to 2GB - it really needs that, and to windows 7 home from Windows 7 starter. It starts up and shuts down very quickly (it needs some of the unhelpful free software removing to achieve this) - it is very light and the battery lasts a long time.
Summary: Did a bit of research on net books and the Samsung N220 came out on top. Unfortunately when I got it - it would not connect to my router. Did a lot of checks, called Samsung and AOL (my ISP) (both of whom who were very helpful ) but in the end found out that there must be a problem with the wireless card in the net book - it could access the internet by cable! Was very disappointed as I'd planned on using the net book on vacation.
Summary: I purchased the n220 after looking at a lot of reviews.I had previously an Acer laptop but sold when windows 7 came out and bought an HP desktop, but i missed taking the laptop out,i live in Larnaca and on the seafront you can find many free wi fi sites and so here i am with the 220.
