Samsung N220

neil.postlethwaite, CNET
16 August 2010
  • Summary: At this price, you'd be better off buying a HP/Compaq Mini 311 with Hardware accelerated NVidia Ion graphics. Amazon are punted them out @ £230 with free delivery. Does not quite have the same impressive battery life, but much, much more usable with the 11.6" real estate screen.
  • Pros: Good Solid Samsung Netbook, Family look now with the excellent R530/730
  • Cons: Price

Small, light, powerful and great battery

Cribbs, Amazon
12 June 2012
  • Summary: Bought this as an alternative to my desktop. Bought on eBay for £150 6 weeks ago and I absolutely love it! The screen is perfect, hd quality and when plugged in, as bright as you'd like! I often use mine for watching shows online in bed, the sound isn't bad either with the SRS function.

  • Excerpt: Excellent little netbook, purchased mine about six months ago and I would definitely recommend it. Firstly it is hardy; my machine has been knocked on the floor and walked on by my kitten and still functions perfectly.

22 January 2011
  • Excerpt: I had been looking around to buy a computer but did not fancy buying something bulky. I could afford to spend more then around £350. I have always trusted samsung so when i saw this N220 in the shop i really liked it. The cover is a subtle design with a nice looking samsung logo.
  • Pros: looks great and feels great to work with .  display is really good
  • Cons: poor online performance

Dont expect it to be up to a laptop standard....

Adrian Snell "Adrian", Amazon
14 November 2010
  • Summary: The plusses - smart looking, compact and sturdy little thing - responsive keyboard. The widescreen aspect means there is much vertical scrolling to read web pages, even hiding the taskbar means it pops up often when trying to scroll down with the unresponsive touchpad.

Motherboard broke after one year

Geeky_Girl, Amazon
14 November 2010
  • Summary: I really liked this Samsung Netbook, especially the keyboard with separate keys. However, after a year of no issues the motherboard just broke, unfortunately one month after the warranty had ended. Buying a netbook, of course one doesn't expect the quality of a laptop.
