Summary: Unit is just out of warranty and the power slider switch is broken. One of the lugs internally snapped off and which you can google to see is a common fault. No spares to be had apart from some rip off merchant on Ebay. Poor support from Samsung.
Summary: It looks nice and is fairly rugged, quite small, and has great battery life. However, it is so slow, that it's basically useless. I've given it to my daughter who seems to be OK with it, but wants to do her homework on my desktop (read IE vs. Word). Even web stuff was too slow for me. It's a shame. I expected poorer performance than a normal laptop, but this is so slow that it's stunning.
Summary: the looks on this netbook are good, also the keyboard, easy to type and use. the biggest issue is with the processor speed. It might be a software problem, but you can't play hd videos, and I have problems with video comunications with skype and msn. the battery does not last the 8 hs advertised. with a battery saver setting it's only 5 hours. there's no direct and easy support from samsung. asked for help several times and finally get to send it to fix in a few days.
Summary: the good: it's small, it's light, it has pretty decent battery life. larger capacity hard drive, too! looks really good on paper. the bad is REALLY bad. Definite deal breaker for me: Huge design flaw. As you type, the palm of your left hand sits/ bumps on the touch pad and the cursor takes a life of it's own...(at least that's what it feels like).
Summary: I had an N120 for a year and while it didn't set any speed records, it was a good netbook for my purposes. The N150 is like molasses. Often when I shut down I get the message that I have to wait for the background programs to shut down first. I already got rid of FailSafe and MacAfee and now have to figure out what else is running in the background and what I can get rid of. I didn't want to spend this much time on what was supposed to be a convenience.
Summary: EXTREMELY slow with Windows 7 even when simply surfing the web. I have not tried upgrading the memory yet, but I do not appear to be maxing out the RAM. After 6 mos of moderate use, the battery is failing. I'll need to replace it in a week or so at this rate.
Summary: Cons: 1. Does not last past 3 hours just sitting on the desk!...7 h battery life is a lie! 2. Doesn't have enough power to scroll web pages smoothly. 3.The touch pad acts weird very often scrolling pages to the left or right endlessly. 4. Equipped with win7 starter, a crippled windows 7 version. 5. Slow...very slow. After using this netbook for 3 months I'd like to add : 1. It's not powerful enough to run Firefox. Open 2-3 tabs and it bogs down. 2.
