nice, compact, good for surfing web

  • Excerpt: I bought this little netbook at Christmas day for my wife.  The only reason I bought it is because of the price (roughly about 240 including shipping and rebate).  I was contemplating waiting for the new atom processor but it is such a low price that I cannot pass it on.  Besides, technology changes everyday; it is like a dog chasing a truck.  You will never get the latest unless you are will to pay a premium.

  • Excerpt: This samsung netbook is perfect for someone just wanting to get online and surf around or send some emails. I bought this for my daughter for her high school work last year. It is holding up good, haven't had an major issues with it. It works good for typing notes in class and emailing them. There is not alot of internal memory and no cd drive. We use USB memory sticks to tranfer the info back to my home computer to print for her.

Samsung N130 Netbook

  • Excerpt: I have witnessed a lot of netbooks and tablet computers flooding the computer market in the last few years, and I think the Samsung is a modest but very effective entry. I bought mine a few months ago for £200.

  • Summary: I got it on xmas 2009 and it it didnt take long to set up but when i first used it the netbook started zooming in and out when i did not make it so that annoyed me alot . then 4 or 5 mounths past the screen hold on plastic clips started falling off and that started happening more frequently so i got fed up about that.
  • Pros: it looks really good
  • Cons: cant describe in this gap

  • Summary: I bought this after much research, finally persuaded by excellent reviews on this site. I have now had the machine a bit over a year. After about 3 months it started to slow down noticeably. I have doubled the RAM to 2MB, which made no difference, and had it checked out by a local PC service firm, who could find nothing wrong. It runs too slowly to be useful. The battery life was at first about 4 hours.
  • Pros: small
  • Cons: very slow; battery life has fallen from short to nil; awful audio feedback

Not bad but poor wireless card and slow

Jarrad, Amazon

  • Summary: Bought for my 9 year old to do what 9 year olds do. All great but bit slow and suffers from wireless drop out frequently without any solution it would seem. No problem with all other laptops in the house or router issues. Just won't stay connected for long periods without issues. Constantly being asked to "fix it" by my son who seems to have been put off using it somewhat due to the inconstancy. Shame when it has the look and feel of a good machine.
