  • Excerpt: I bought this little netbook at Christmas day for my wife.  The only reason I bought it is because of the price (roughly about 240 including shipping and rebate).  I was contemplating waiting for the new atom processor but it is such a low price that I cannot pass it on.  Besides, technology changes everyday; it is like a dog chasing a truck.  You will never get the latest unless you are will to pay a premium.

  • Excerpt: This samsung netbook is perfect for someone just wanting to get online and surf around or send some emails. I bought this for my daughter for her high school work last year. It is holding up good, haven't had an major issues with it. It works good for typing notes in class and emailing them. There is not alot of internal memory and no cd drive. We use USB memory sticks to tranfer the info back to my home computer to print for her.

  • Excerpt: As netbooks go, the N-130 is a solid performer. Nothing really notable to make it stand out from the pack but it's a good, basic netbook. I've had mine for about 2.5 years as I write this and it's still in pretty good running condition. It came with WinXP Home on it but I wiped that clean as soon...

  • Excerpt: My Samsung N130 netbook came installed with Win7, which at the time was one of the selling points it had I liked. However, the specs of the device proved too limiting for Win7 (even the pared down version used) and it ran rather slowly. So, I installed Ubuntu on it, which runs great. No...

Samsung N130 Netbook

James Amulyoto, REVIEW STREAM

  • Excerpt: I have witnessed a lot of netbooks and tablet computers flooding the computer market in the last few years, and I think the Samsung is a modest but very effective entry. I bought mine a few months ago for £200. The N130 is a light netbook which usually has 1GB RAM and a 160GB hard drive. Apart from an SD memory cards slot, there are no external media drives (even a CD ROM drive), to further decrease the size and weight of the device.

  • Excerpt: I've wanted one of the netbooks ever since I first saw them. Though, I would have preferred the trend to go with the term "net-top." Make fun if you want, I don't care if it has too many tees, I know it would have caught on, okay?! Anyway, my mom got me this blue beauty from...

  • Excerpt: ... nearly 3 years now and this little machine continues to do what it is made to do. wifi adapter does a pretty good job. 3 USB slots really useful. the SD card slot has a protective cover for when it is not used. the sound from the speakers are not powerful, but sufficient if you are in a quiet environment. the screen colour is OK. i like the keyboards. responsive and very functional. you may call it user-friendly. the key pitch is just perfect.

Samsung Netbook N130

  • Excerpt: I bought this netbook a few years ago and thought I would regret it because I didn't think a netbook would be anything like a laptop. And that just tells you how much I know. I was proved wrong. It is very light-weight and so portable. The processor works lovely and quick, and the screen size is just right. The graphics are brilliant, do not expect anything less.

  • Summary: Ill admit that ive had this netbook a while now and it's starting to run a little slow but in all fairness i have used it almost every day for quite a long time =) THe mouse soon stops playing up so much and for the price, it is really good!
