Perfect size and weight for mobile use

#HappyMom!, Staples
7 November 2014
  • Excerpt: I bought this computer for my daughter who is a senior in college. We had purchased her the college recommended laptop computer freshman year. By her junior year she complained that her laptop was too heavy and she did not like taking it to the library and class. Although she has an ipad mini, she felt she was restricted to her room to do papers due to the weight and size of her laptop. I sent this to her and she is in love!!

Good but not Great

Michael, Staples
20 May 2014
  • Excerpt: The product was and is what was described for the user that wants something easy to you use as well as with limited features. What I mean by limited is that when doing research on what computer I would purchase just for a backup the product detail didn't mentation anything that you couldn't direct connect printers/scanners/fax via USB port.

It gets some of the job done.

  • Excerpt: I would get this if you needed a spare computer for surfing the web, watching YouTube videos, working on the ALEKS system, or listening to Pandora. However, if you need to do a lot of typing or document making and you use Word, Powerpoint, Excel or anything like that do not buy this system! It serves a purpose, but it is very very basic!
  • Pros: Good For Watching Youtube, Good Value, Lightweight, Small, Surfs The Web Great, Works For Aleks Programs
  • Cons: Cannot Insert Cds Or Dvds, Doesn't Use Excel, Doesn't Use Ppt, Doesn't Use Word, Doesn' Use Microsoft Word, Does Not Work With Skype, Does Use Microsoft Excel, Does Use Microsoft Ppt, Does Use Microsoft Word, Small Keyboard

  • Excerpt: Difficult to learn to use...specifically how to download documents so they can be edited. I've tried to follow the instructions given by the store tech. and I've viewed the AnsonAlex tutorials on Facebook, but I still can't get the functionality I need. The documents download, but do not open. Or if they open, they are locked to editing.
  • Pros: Bright, Durable, Good Value, Professional Weight, Sharp Tones & Colors

  • Excerpt: I bought this chrombook for my husband as a birthday gift. He is not on the computer a lot he checks his E-Mails and plays spider solitar. He loves how easy it is to get into his E-Mail he doesn't have to keep putting in a password, but very disappointed in the solitar games you are able to get on it. He likes to be able to keep score of how many games he has won and he could do that with his PC because it had Microsoft. It is very different from a PC.
  • Pros: Bright, Doesn't Jam, Durable, Good Value, Professional Weight, Sharp Tones & Colors

Very basic web access device

Jescott418, Staples
21 July 2013
  • Excerpt: Bought this on a notion that it would be nice for traveling and occasional web access such as in a public WiFi situation. Its not going to replace a Mac or PC in function unless you totally marry into the Google ecosystem of applications. Basically, everything runs through Google Chrome browser. I cannot recommend the Chromebook to everyone. If your willing to accept its limitations and can live within the Google system then its a good value.
  • Pros: Good Value
  • Cons: Locked To Google
