Summary: Starts up really fast, about 30 seconds. Battery last long, over 8 hours. Was looking for something to search the internet, watch videos, and wanted a keyboard. I would have given it 5 stars, but processor is a bit slow if playing some online games.
Summary: This laptop was a good purchase when it went one sale sub $200, but it cannot replace a regular business machine or student laptop. The Google Apps suite has a lot of growing up to do before it is anywhere close to professional, so one is limited to use this as an after hours utility.
Excerpt: This is my second chromebook. The first was an Acer that my son now has. I am still acclimating myself to the non-windows platform. I did not realize how different the keyboard is and am still learning the numerous keystroke shortcuts for things you might take for granted like delete.
Summary: Pros: It is so light, it can take drops too. Nice big screen for a netbook, Chrome OS is good if put in developer mode has a full bash terminal. Like I said the best netbook I've owned, although the last one I owned was an Acer Aspire One.
Pros: So light and is powerful enough to do most day to day things.
Cons: Good luck playing any games, Chrome OS isn't really all that great on its own for power users.
Summary: I would buy it again but hopefully will be more lucky next time.
Pros: Light weight Stylish Fast
Cons: I have bought three for my kids (all refurbs) two of the three worked right out of the box. The third had a defective battery. It would not hold any charge. It stayed at 1% no matter how long I tried to charge it for. The charging light kept blinking green/amber constantly. I tried all the tips a...
Summary: When I was looking for a new laptop, I ran across the Chromebook. I was so worried about buying it, but I am well pleased with my purchase. It is fast and I like the way that I can customize my screens and browser window. It is the perfect size for me to carry in my work bag and it is very light.
Summary: Worked fine. Easy to install. The only issue was the screws holes did not properly center the screen. After multiple adjustments i realized the black frame was going to show on the screen when the cover was back on. :/ disappointed but had to keep it because of timing.
Summary: It's limited by the OS in the sense that Chrome OS was esigned to be simplistic and fast. It is definitely that on this Chromebook, and as long as you have internet you will have full access to this thing's potential.
Pros: - Well packaged and sealed for a refurbished product -> good first impression - Product shows no sign of damage or defects - Very, very light, ergonomic, feels solid - Practical (quick bootup, easy access to anything even remotely Google related)
Cons: - Is a little underpowered if multiple tabs are open (eg. a YouTube tab and perhaps a programming IDE like Cloud 9 will cause occasional and momentary stuttering) - Lid is rather tricky to open for no good reason (nitpicking though)
