  • Summary: Pros: Fast, doesn't need virus protection, nice looking "computer", good screen definition Cons: Mine looked like the screen and inside case part was seperating from the outer shell, it looked like in the middle the keyboard was caving in, STRICTLY for web surfing it isn't compatible with word or...

Not worth it

akm91105, CNET
29 March 2015
  • Summary: The internet disconnects after about 15 minutes.  Even on our personal network.  It is a waste of time.  Took it on a trip and it constantly disconnected, so I could not even use it.  Very worthless product.  Would not recommend it to anyone.  Next time I will bring my laptop.
  • Pros: light and easy to carry
  • Cons: Internet will NOT stay connected. I usually have to pull out my laptop anyway!

Stay away from this model

April Spring "Retirediva", Amazon
20 February 2015
  • Summary: Do NOT buy this particular model (XE303C12). I had one for 3 months and it crashed. Chromebook has a Recovery Image that you download onto your computer with a USB drive, & then insert it into Chromebook to recover your OS when it crashes but it does NOT work for THIS model!

  • Summary: This is by far the worst computer purchase I have ever made. To be fair it worked well for 2 - 3 weeks, just long enough to get past the Walmart 15 day return limit on computers. 1) the wireless modem is faulty and won't maintain a connection.

Shocking.

EatThatChicken, CNET
2 January 2015
  • Summary: I've been very happy with Samsung products over at least fifteen years. The damage this product will do to their reputation is terrible. What were they thinking? I bought this one for my wife though, of course, I was the one who had to set it up.
  • Pros: It's not heavy.
  • Cons: About everything else.

A waste of money.

cooll12, CNET
10 December 2014
  • Summary: I don't own one (thank god) but have used one on many occasions. I absolutely hate having to use it sometimes, and couldn't image having to use one all the time. It  is very confusing and difficult to understand and use.
  • Pros: None
  • Cons: Difficult to use, very limited capabilities , useless for anything other then internet browsing .

DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS MACHINE

jrm713, CNET
10 December 2014
  • Summary: A nightmare. I have had this machine for a week and I am taking it back for a refund. Try and find the delete key. That is just a small part. I like having the programs where I can access them. You can't with this machine. It just doesn't make any sense the way this thing is set up. No thank you.
  • Pros: Lightweight, battery life.
  • Cons: Way too conusing for me.

Sketchy

Matt C., Newegg
9 October 2014
  • Pros: Wouldn't know.
  • Cons: This was nearly Dead on Arrival. The unit was working when it arrived, but after I charged it for the first time, the screen permanently went blank. I called the number on the customer service note that came with the refurbished unit and got a bad customer service representative. She did not care...
