Summary: I had this Chromebook before it was ChromeOS started taking off. The operating system is fine, I loved my laptop great little thing, but it was lacking some power. Loading large SDcards with photos seemed to take a while, I tried numerous sd cards and brands thinking maybe I just had a bad card. All and all it is a great web surfer and streamer.
Summary: Six months after receiving my Samsung Series 5 550 Chrome book, I noticed that the case had separated near the bottom left corner of the screen. I've treated the computer very well and am not aware of anything I did to cause the problem. I called Samsung, described the problem with the case, and after two hours received an RMA. I sent the computer for repairs or replacement.
Does not work well with Hulu and other video sites; otherwise terrific

Summary: Let me begin by saying that I love my chromebook. I have a 3-month old Macbook Pro that I paid over $3K for, but I consistently pick up my chromebook instead because it is just faster at booting and shutting down, and it has AMAZING all day battery life. If you mostly use your computer for surfing the web, and if you trust Google with your information, then there is nothing better for you than a chromebook. But there is one caveat.
Summary: I bought this notebook for my brother-in-law whose computing needs are simple and I did not want him to be confused with the complexities of a Windows or Apple computer. In that respect it has worked well, it is very fast to boot up and complexity is removed. However, I don't like the touch pad at all and the lack of buttons to go with it, right clicking is just a pain.
Summary: Our company bought a Chromebook to see if it was suitable for replacing some of our laptops. The quality of the Chromebook is fantastic. The screen is clear and bright, it is light but sturdy, has an incredible battery life, USB ports, camera, good speakers, external monitor connector, SD card slot, wired and wireless (both 3G and Wifi) internet. Very complete.
