Good chromebook, poor display

Summary: I bought this unit a few weeks ago. Light, fast starting, it does everything I need to do, mainly to update my profile, something a few web sites do not allow me to do via mobile devices, and cut my cord from windows. Definitely my travel pc so I don't have to use a public pc. If you intend to watch videos, stay away from this book, because the display is mediocre.
Summary: My daughter bought this to use for word processing and surfing the web. Nice computer. Starts quickly. Fast and responsive. No hard drive crashes or viruses to worry about. System is always up to date. Keyboard and mouse pad are very nice.
Ok, but I'm not getting faster page loads than a 2Gig Acer.

Summary: I purchased an Acer Chromebook for $200 about 1 year ago. It stopped working, so I sent it to Acer for warrenty repair. It now works for about 2 days and I have to open the case and move wires around to get it going. So, I decided against buying another Acer. I read the reviews and thought this chromebook would be considerably better for $300. I only use the Chromebooks for browsing so speed and sound were most important to me.
Summary: If you understand what it is and what it is supposed to do then you will probably like it. The screen, keyboard and track pad are all good. The faux leather shell keeps the fingerprints away and grips well. I use it to web surf and check email and for that it's great.
Summary: a very good upgrade from the original chromebook. does everything I need it to do and does it in style! It gets looks everywhere I take it. I run circles around my coworkers productivity wise. I even tend to use it more than my phone now-a-days.
Summary: I'm returning this immediately. It's completely useless to me. I don't see that this is an improvement over the1st gen Chromebook which was much cheaper when new. (I had use of the original through my job.) I bought the 2 for homework and I have to say I'd more done faster using my phone (a Samsung Galaxy 5) or my $199 iPad mini. The keyboard has a cheezy feel and the display has the same ugly bleached out look of the original Chromebook.
