Refresh windows & freezes for nothing
Aline Batista, Amazon
14 June 2013
Summary: It started when I turned it on and got a message that I should refresh or reinstall Windows as it couldn~t reach operational system. Had to refresh and lost all programs already installed. Then a couple weeks later had the same issue. Called support and they tried to reinstall Windows but the technician on the phone realized this model didn~t have this option.
Summary: Took this out of the box - loved how it looked and felt to hold - happy that I could put Microsoft Office on and use for work and play. Then I tried to play some games using FIrefox as I do on my computer now (Candy Crush - no window game app for that yet) - way too slow - couldn't even play! Thought OK, maybe I'll just wait for the game apps to come out - they will be better.
Serious battery drain issue make this tablet a NO BUY

Summary: I will start by saying that I have been a Windows tablet user for 8 years now. I am more of a Linux than a Windows power user. In all these years I have never had an issue this infuriating with a tablet. Succinctly, the tablet pretends it is asleep while, in fact, it is draining battery doing useless tasks on the background. The tablet seems to wake up whenever the Windows 8 kernel receives an event.
Summary: I have had mine for a a month and already reset it twice to factory settings, so it has been a frustrating experience. I've played with it all this time and really want to love it, but there are so many glitches. The apps behave erratically: they will open and close, or I will be watching something on Netflix and it'll go back to the Start Menu. IE on the start menu behaves very different from the one on the desktop; it is rather erratic.
Summary: I'm a 30s web designer and computer consultant. This was a fun splurge for me. When I got it two days ago I was super excited. I did everything the previous reviews said to do re updates, and fiddling with the keyboard. The tablet is wonderful. So here's the good stuff: Its super light, the display rocks, metro is actually usable and fast, pen is a great plus, downloaded OneNote and its great. Battery lasts forever. So here's the bad. First, the simple stuff. Bloatware.
Summary: I pre-ordered this with keyboard from Amazon weeks before release. When the expected ship date came and I got an email saying it was delayed, I ended up buying the tablet from a box store and the keyboard a month later from the same box store. Conceptually this tablet is great. A tablet for tablet things, and a keyboard for keyboard things. If you're a hardcore user you can run Quickbooks, Visual Studio, SQL Server, etc. then this could have been a perfect medium.
Summary: My husband bought this for me 3 days ago for an anniversary present. I was excited as I had been looking at the surface and other smart pc. I really hate Norton which comes loaded on it. I uninstalled it and replaced Norton with AVG (which I have used for years). I did all of the updates and figured it should be ready go. I am mistaken, the apps freeze or will not open (there are not many apps in the Microsoft store and amazon app store cannot download to this machine).
Summary: When you read the review for this product it almost seems like 2 different products are being reviewed; some say it's great, others hate it. I think I know why. I know quite a bit about computers, I've been messing around with them since the days of CPM and I have NEVER seen a computer that takes so long to set up.
Summary: UPDATED DECEMBER 8 2012 As a buyer of High End and Expensive Fujitsu Windows Tablets (Convertibles) all the way back to Win XP not only was I excited about finally getting the form factor I was after but I am also very familiar with their function and knew what to expect and was sure that The EX500T would do everything I needed it to do. I bought two of them - 1 for me and 1 for my wife.
