Great laptop, horrible support
Jamin VanderBerg, Amazon

Summary: When I initially got this laptop, I had trouble with the Wi-Fi. I had to send it in twice, and I had a horrible experience with Samsung support. I was frequently forced to fill in the same web forms over and over again (tickets are closed after each step in the support process, requiring you to open a new ticket just to continue support). I was asked the same questions repeatedly, and treated like I was stupid and/or lying.
Poor Replacement for MacBook, Poor Build Quality, Windows 8.1 is Horrble

Summary: The hardware does not hold a candle to Apple. The trackpad is finicky and doesn't respond well to gestures. The power adapter is clunky and there is no external charge indicator. The screen brightness and clarity is substandard compared to Apple. The overall build quality is just OK, not on par with Apple. Windows 8.1 is a disaster. Totally inefficient and much clunkier than Windows 7. I bought this to replace my MacBook Air, but I'm sorry I did.
Resolution and Trackpad Wreck an Otherwise Great Machine
21 November 2014
Summary: I've had it for just over a month. Age-wise I'm young but not particularly techy, so I've just been using it for web surfing, watching some tv online, and uploading and editing photos using the software Win 8 comes with. It's ridiculously thin (which is great), it's nice and fast, I think I've only ever heard the fan once, and it powers up within a few seconds.
Summary: Nice computer. But Windows 8 spoils it. There is not way to downgrade to windows 7 ultimate because the drivers don't exist in windows 7. The computer is nice and thin. The touch pad is too slippery not too much traction.
Summary: Nice form factor and features for an ultrabook, but the build quality sucks. There's pretty obvious bleed-through from the backlight to the display around the edges, and the trackpad has pretty serious issues with false touch that makes the cursor jump around and randomly clicks things.
Summary: This computer is very fast, which I appreciate. The super-fast start-up time is especially nice, considering how often I have to shut down or re-start the computer in order to get the touchpad to work properly. Others have already complained about the touchpad drivers, so I won't dwell on it, but this does reflect poorly on Samsung. I've been in touch with tech support, and they weren't especially helpful.

Summary: To begin with, this laptop is beautiful and has incorporated a number of features that could make it one of the best laptops on the market. The touchscreen/touchpad are amazing, the colors are vibrant, and the weight is fantastic. The problem is compatibility with Windows 8.1 (or possibly Microsoft Office 365).
