  • Summary: This laptop has serious wifi issues. The wifi connection was unstable and disconnected every 5-10 mins although the signal strength looked ok. Had to send it back for service. Hope it will get fixed. Very disappointed!

MAJOR Touchpad Issues

Amazon Ron, Amazon
29 December 2013
  • Summary: I'm a Mac laptop guy - I'll admit it! Apple makes superb laptops and the 2013 Air (which I have) is just outstanding with seriously scary (good) battery life. That said, I was very excited to try the Ativ Book 9 Plus and bought it completely loaded up (i7, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD). I have a Surface 2 which I love and was hoping to recreate some of that magic on my laptop and am a Samsung S3 smartphone user and my wife has a Note 2.

Fans start to make clicking noise just after 10 days

ngukho, Amazon
2 November 2013
  • Summary: I was impressed by the highly positive reviews of this product from various tech blogs but only to find a truly disappointment. Just after 10 days' normal use, the two fans start to make a high-pitch, clicking noise, which usually only appear age-old dusty fans. Later I discovered the strength of the noise varies along with the angle the fans are wrt gravity, possibly suggesting a lousy assembly of the parts. Even my 7-year old ThinkPad is now quieter than this.

Box Stated US Version with Non-US Keyboard Layout

Josh Simerman, Amazon
25 September 2013
  • Summary: Seems like a nice laptop, but I have to send it back because the keyboard of the item in the box is not a US standard, seems more like European or Latin American. I think it's a screw up on Samsung in the packaging, but now I'm not sure if I'll buy another one.

Crippled

EVVK, ABT Electronics
21 September 2013
  • Summary: Samsung does not seem to understand that UEFI is a standard, booting other OSes in pure EFI mode doesn't seem to work well. Hopyfully this gets fixed by a firmware ipdate. Disabling the secure boot does not seem to help. Ubuntu for example is only detected with CSM(legacy BIOS compatible mode.) Somehow this system is bundled with software that should not being run outside X labeled gaming consoles.
  • Pros: disable secure boot
  • Cons: Did not meet expectations, uefi

Attention, écran pentile.

Fred, Amazon
1 November 2013
  • Summary: J'ai commandé l'ATIV BOOK 9 NP940X3G-K01FR qui était en vente flash à 899€ chez Amazon.
